We all have those days where we feel like we have nothing to wear! It happens to me quite frequently, as I get bored of my clothes easily or I’m in a rush to go somewhere. Thankfully, I have a few fashion pieces in my closet that I can rely on to save any outfit and actually make me look presentable, even while wearing basic and plain clothing. Everyone asks “Christy, what are your fashion essentials?” Well, keep reading to find out!!
Bags are my favourite thing in the world! They can jazz up any outfit. Whatever you’re wearing just by adding some colour. What I usually do is wear similar colours or shades for my outfit and then add some colour with a cool bag! For example, I will dress in black jeans, greyish or black jumper and a grey coat, and then I’ll add a red bag for a pop of colour!
A coat saves every outfit because it covers a plain outfit underneath! Coats are important because they make you look like you’re fashionable 24/7, when in reality you just planned your outfit based on a simple base. For example, I usually wear my blue jeans and a T-shirt or plain white/black jumper, and when I throw my amazing colourful coat on, I have my life together again!
Patterned trousers always save the day. Or patterns in general! Everyone wears jeans or plain trousers. Avoid being the same and try going for something different. Don’t be like that too, try something else! Try these trousers!
For accessories, I go for hats or jewellery. OKAY hats, there – I said it! I like beanies and baseball hats, especially when it’s raining here in London. Baseball hats give off a casual vibe as well if you think you’re dressed too formal. Just wear your trainers as well!
For shoes I wear boots, trainers or my Doc Martens, which I love! When it comes to boots, I usually pick the ones with an interesting design on them, not just a plain black boots (I choose black as it is more wearable). For trainers, it will either be Adidas, New Balance or Nike. Any kind of shoe will jazz up your outfit as long as it’s classy and fashionable. Nobody wants a random red shoe, unless it is a Vans type of shoe.
