5 Types Of Clothes To Keep In Your Closet As A Minimalist

The seasons change and so does your wardrobe. As summer thrives through, you still have plenty of time to clean and tidy up the dresser. If you are wanting to stay in the budget range, there are a few things you will want to keep all year round. Maybe you have a favorite pullover sweater. Thinking to toss out those old blue jeans? If you are cleaning out the closet or stocking up on clothes, here are five types that you will want to keep as part of a minimalist lifestyle.

1. The Trench Coat

As a personal favorite coat, the trench coat comes in all types of texture, color, and length. Depending on the weather conditions and look you are going for, you will want the perfect coat suitable. Because a trench coat is light, you won’t have to worry about feeling to warmed up if having a sweatshirt underneath. Perhaps it is chilly, and you want to wear a scarf around your neck. The trench coat is one of the classiest coats to own no matter the weather or style.

2. Cardigan

The cardigan is added to this list because it is one of the types of sweaters that can be worn on any day! Seasonally, stores like to sell cardigans correlated with the weather such as a wool-knit cardigan for winter or loose-knit for spring and summer. A cardigan is a garment to have because who wants to be cold outdoors? As you select the type of cardigan for you, bear in mind the fabric and length. You want to ensure that such clothing would not shrink down a size!

3. Denim Shorts

Some women may be comfortable wearing shorts, other women may not. If you are someone who is wanting a pair of shorts, the denim ones are right for you. A pair or two of these is good to have in the closet for a hot day. Unlike regular cotton fabric shorts, denim is fun and matches with any top you throw on. Pair it with a t-shirt and/or loose sweater. Denim shorts go great with a pair of sandals or plain sneakers too!

4. T-Shirt

As plain as it seems, you can’t go wrong with having a t-shirt placed somewhere in the closet. It is great to wear to a casual event, as a comfort top, or saved for one of your lazy days. The T-Shirt can be classy or laid back, formal or party-themed. What matters is how you wear it. Add a few accents such as a necklace to flatter the shirt. If you are thinking semi-formal, wear a neutral colored blazer (or pattern if you choose) to outweigh the dullness. Nowadays, t-shirts come in all colors with cheesy quotes, designs, or a cool logo. It is all up to you to express the fun.
