The Best TV Shows On Netflix You Need To Watch Now
Are you looking for a new show to binge watch on Netflix? If you’re like me, and the thought of finals coming up puts a real damper on your day, you just want to go home, cuddle up with a warm blanket, make yourself a nice hot cup of joe, and watch a binge worthy show. However, sometimes it’s hard to find one that is actually worthy of your stress relief time. So, I collected together the best shows on Netflix to watch asap, so that the thought of finals will melt away with drama and laughter. Here are the best TV shows on Netflix you need to watch now.
1. The Office
This show is a must watch for everybody. The combination of comedy, cute office romances, that’s what she said jokes, and just overall amazing characters really creates an atmosphere that is great to escape into during stressful days. We all need a good laugh most days, and this show is guaranteed to help you achieve that. The complete quirkiness is unmatched, and personally it’s my favorite show of all time. Just be warned: the first two seasons start slow, but as soon as you reach the third, it’s smooth sailing from there. Be ready to laugh and feel uncomfortable by Michael Scott’s antics all at once.
2. Stranger Things
If you’re like me, I have certain moods that I’m in where I want to watch a comedy, and then certain moods where I want some action-packed drama. If you want the best of both worlds, and some major action/comedy/romance/sci-fi vibes, check this amazing show out. There are currently two seasons on Netflix, and the third season comes out in October 2018, so you have plenty of time to catch up. It’s a great show to get you into the fall/Halloween mood with its dark aesthetic and 1980s Indiana setting. So if you like high waisted jeans, classic sneakers, and puffer jackets, this is definitely one of the best TV shows on Netflix for you.
3. Orange Is The New Black
Have you ever wondered what goes on in a women’s prison? Probably not, but maybe you have, in which case this is the show for you. To be honest this show is most likely not an accurate depiction of how a women’s prison is, but it’s entertaining nonetheless. Every time I have watched this show, I’ve ended up crying from laughter, and also crying from tragedy and heartbreak. This show will make you feel all the emotions within a 40 minute episode, and I think that’s pretty special. The way the women in the show wear those orange jumpsuits, you’d really think orange is the new black.
4. Friends
Some people may say this is an overrated show, but personally I think it’s one of the best of all time. 10 seasons of laughs, loves, heartbreak, but most importantly amazing and supportive friends. This show is perfect to watch in the morning while chilling on the couch with a cup of coffee in hand. Plus, the ten seasons will take a while to get through, so it’s perfect for watching every morning while eating your breakfast (at least, that’s what I do). However, before you know it the show will be over and you’ll be wondering why you ever started it in the first place because you’re so sad it’s over and your heart is broken. Or maybe that was just me?
5. How To Get Away With Murder
This is one of the most underrated shows of all time. I never hear anyone talk about it, but I’m obsessed. Viola Davis is incredible as always, and even more so in this show while she plays a lawyer who doesn’t take crap from anyone. There’s a blurred line between who the good guys and the bad guys are in this show, and I think that’s what makes it so unique and refreshing to watch. This will definitely have you on the edge of your seat, and have you so excited for the new season to come out in the Fall. Shonda Rhimes has done it yet again. If you liked Grey’s Anatomy (let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) and Scandal (another great one), then you will be obsessed with this show.
I hope if you were having trouble in what to pick to watch on Netflix, that you have a good idea now on what you need to watch asap! These shows are bound to get your attention and keep it for a long time.
