5 Tropical Cities You Have To Visit This Summer

Picture yourself laying on the beach sipping water from a coconut soaking up the tropical sun-kissed glow, enjoying fresh ripe fruit and leaving all your worries behind.. ahhh, I can picture it now. Just don’t fall asleep and forget to put on sunblock that would not be good later. Here are five tropical cities you have to visit this summer!

1. Key West, Florida

The Florida Keys is an island part of the archipelago that lies 90 miles north of Cuba! This is a great affordable way to enjoy what the tropics has to offer without going out of the states. If you don’t have a passport, or just want to stay within the confines of home all while enjoying tropical paradise, this is the place for you! Enjoy the pastel hue and conch style houses, ashy white sand and warm beaches all while eating the world-famous hot dogs paired with corona and lime! This destination is great for snorkeling and diving in the depths of this crystal clear water. Feeling all beached out? Brush up on history and visit Ernest Hemingway’s house- this historical site is sure to strike up inspiration. Don’t forget to stop by the Southernmost Point of the Continental US because, hey, why not? It’s a must-see site when visiting the Florida Keys. This now tourist attraction, at 18 feet above sea level, has withstood several hurricanes. This sign was originally a landmark to warn others of potential hurricane threats. Now, many come from all over the world just to take a picture with this iconic milestone.

2.) St. Barts, The Caribbean

If you like high-class lounging under the tropical sun, vogue and cultural sophistication this Island should be the next destination on your list. Although pricey, the never-ending accommodations, private villas, food, and beaches are the Utopia you have been waiting for. Best know for its scenery, this French Caribbean Island will be sure to leave you with nothing more than pure relaxation as there isn’t much more to do beyond drink, eat, and enjoy the sounds of the beach waves. Of course, if you are feeling too relaxed, ( I am not even sure if there is such a thing) you can always go underwater snorkeling. Let us not forget the food is just as amazing as the scenery. 3.) Nadi, Fiji

What do you get when you mix luxury, the tropics, adventure, and affordability? (Um, hello sign me up!) Next stop, Fiji! This secluded Island features accommodations and relaxation! Located in the South Pacific about 2,000 miles away from Honolulu this tropical paradise can be reached in any overnight flight. Guess what? The main language there is English! So, have at it! Bask on the clear beaches, go snorkeling over the coral reefs, take a dive underwater, kayak, go on a hike, bird watch, skydive, zipline through trees, sip on coconuts, go on a cruise and enjoy the sites! The list can go on for miles, just like this beautiful Island.  This destination is for the ultimate adventurer who seeks the all-inclusive tropical experience. Don’t forget to schedule in the world-famous banana leaf message, you can’t go to Fiji without getting one! It leaves (haha.. leafs, get it..) your skin glowing and clears toxins from the body that will leave you feeling rejuvenated. 4.) Lanikai Oahu, Hawaii

Known for its picturesque beaches, turquoise water, and white sand. The sound of the calm waves and smell of the tropical fruits emanating from the plants are sure to set the scene as one of the most soothing and also earth friendly places to visit. Known to be one of the most beautiful Islands in the world, this must stop destination allows you to enjoy the traditional route of going on tours and kayaking, as well as visiting some of the more historical land sites such as the Lanikai Brewing Company. All of their beers are local and fresh on tap- not only can you bask in the tropical experience your taste buds are enamored as well! Not too big on beer? Don’t worry, they got you covered! You can enjoy making your own wine (and taste it too) at Oeno Winemaking. The more tastings you book the more bottles of wine they throw into the mix for free! All this adventure have you hungry? Make sure you stop by the local farmers market and get a taste of locally made fruits, veggies, and traditional Hawaiian style food. Feeling in the mood for something a little sweet?
