Summer arrives slowly and it goes by so quickly! If that’s not the truth, then I don’t know what is. If you’re worried about not being able to wear, flaunt or purchase all of the Summer Trends, don’t worry, you still have time and I’m here to remind you what all of those trends are just in case you forgot. Let’s face it, we’re all busy this summer. Whether it’s lounging by the pool, exploring new cities or falling in love, we all still want to stay updated with what’s trending in the world and I am right there with you. So, what are the Summer Trends right now? Read below to find out!
Bright colors are in ya’ll. They are here to stay and are NOT going anywhere anytime soon. If you think about it, while during the midst of being in the middle of the pandemic, it was a dark time for everyone. Much uncertainty surrounded the world and for many, it was a dark time where the light was far from close to appearing. Now that we’re in 2022 (2023 is right around the corner!), people don’t want dark colors that remind them of the past. Instead, they want the brightest of bright colors that represent happiness and adventure, normalcy too. If you’re anything like me, then I love to wear black. It goes with everything, it’s simple and chic. But now, I want bright yellows and neon pinks because those colors make me happy and excited and isn’t life just way too short to be anything but that? Yes, life is bound to be difficult at times, it’s inevitable. Yet, sometimes changing up the colors that you wear can truly, truly… make all the difference.
One of the biggest Summer Trends? Florals. Just like bright colors are used to lift your mood, so are florals. Florals are trending all over the world right now. You’re seeing them not only in the fashion world in runways, but house decor as well and you better believe that I will be all about this trend going into the season of Fall as well. The floral trend is also constantly evolving, too. You’re seeing them on classical prints, to modern day accessories like boat hats and bags, curtains and comforters. Florals are making their statement this summer and if you want to rock a trend, this one sure is it.
I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve never been the biggest fan of crop tops. Sometimes I think that they expose too much cleavage or too much skin in general to the point where it doesn’t look good on a woman’s body. But at the same time, I can see why out of all of the Summer Trends, that this one is at the top of the list. Crop tops are comfy, light and are just a simple piece of clothing that is bound to make a statement no matter where you go. They also can be a confidence booster to those who truly want to dress up and put heels on. I get it, I do. They are CUTE! So, if you want to wear a crop top everyday, go for it, girlfriend. You’ll be wearing one of the hottest Summer Trends that is not disappearing anytime soon.

Stun and Games Coral Gingham Print Sleeveless Tie-Back Crop TopOr this one from Urban OutFitters for $9.99
I am all about the coastal vibe and so should you because it’s one of the hottest Summer Trends. Honestly, this trend reminds me of Diane Keaton in Something’s Gotta Give, the 2003 romantic comedy. Even if you don’t live near water, you can easily rock this look through what you wear and how you decorate your home. This trend includes like colors from creams, light blues and greens, whites and pinks. It’s sweaters, cargo pants and all things cotton with hats to be the main the accessory. I love this trend and if I could truly wear it all year long, I would. It’s simple, the colors are easy to match and it’s chic. Who wouldn’t want this look in their closet?

The 90’s are back and yes you read that correctly. From wide-leg pants, statement earrings, crop tops (as previously mentioned), platform shoes and corsets, the 90s have officially arrived back in 2022. You’re also seeing them in the household as well, which is something I love even more. From Japanese influences (cherry blossom art for example), to pastels and country accents like plaids and ruffels, the 90’s are truly everywhere. If you didn’t grow up in the 90’s, you might want to do your research because what a time it was to be alive. This was the period in which signature dance moves were created, pop culture got its name and where your favorite fast food places really, and I mean really, became popular.
Want to wear an item that became popular in the 90s? Then you might want to purchase a corset for your closet. Check out Urban Outfitters, Out From Under Modern Love Corset. Price: $59.00
