For those who are massive Queen fans, the trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody, the biopic that will come out on November 2 of this year, was a beautiful thing to see. The official trailer came out on May 15, 2018. The film will tell the story of the formation of the band and documents various aspects of the lives of the band, from the start all the way to their famous Live Aid performance in 1985. The movie will feature iconic songs by the band, such as the obvious “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Another One Bites the Dust.”
Directed by Dexter Fletcher and Bryan Singer. the film is still in post-production. Anthony McCarten wrote the screenplay and the story. Peter Morgan aided in “creating” the story for the big screen. Brian May and Roger Taylor have had an influence throughout the making of the movie.
Rami Malek is starring as legendary Freddie Mercury and Joseph Mazello is portraying Queen bassist John Deason. Drummer Roger Taylor will be played by Ben Hardy and Gwilym Lee is playing guitarist Brian May. The casting has impressed many fans notably because of the resemblance between the actors and the band members themselves.
Like any film released about a band with a massive following, there has already been a lot of criticism about the film based on the trailer alone. However, the movie has not promoted itself as a documentary of the band. Even then, it is often hard to reproduce everything perfectly. Brian and Roger were on hand for a lot of the filming, so their input was there, which will show in a lot of ways. Other fans are just thrilled to see the legacy of the band live on in this way.
Fans have the opportunity to add their voices to the movie by singing along to “Bohemian Rhapsody” here and recording their voices. This gives them a chance to be heard in the movie, which is a great experience for any fan to have.
This trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody has been long-awaited by fans since it was announced eight years ago. After a lot of ups and downs, fans who have followed its making are excited for it to finally be released. Most are looking forward to seeing Freddie come to life again on a big screen. Fans who grew up with Queen will have the opportunity to relive concerts they saw live. Younger fans will also have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what it must have been like to see the band when Freddie was touring with them.
Queen’s music and overall legacy continues to touch and inspire new people every day. Unfortunately, Freddie died too soon due to complications with AIDS. Yet we believe he would be proud that Queen continues to tour and carry on his fight against the disease that took his life.
20th Century Fox will release Bohemian Rhapsody and has not rated the movie yet. It will have different release dates depending on which country you live in. The movie will be available for viewing around the world.
