If you go to the University of Arkansas, then you know about the wildly inconvenient dining hall hours as well as that distinct smell that just seems to follow you around all day after eating in one. The food on campus can get real boring real fast, so a great way to spice things up is utilizing the various meal trade hours on campus! Keep reading for a list of the top 5 best places to meal trade on campus.
Although it’s a pretty far walk for those of us that don’t have the luxury of living in Maple or the Quads at the University Of Arkansas, this place is definitely worth it! They serve burgers, chicken sandwiches, and grilled cheeses made to order. Not to mention the best curly fries around (sweet potato and regular). Be sure to get there a little before meal trade hours start or be ready to wait in line because this place gets packed.
By far the best salad place I’ve ever been to. Go to this place while you still have meal swipes and don’t have to spend 10+ dollars on a meal! They also serve flatbreads and have a variety of lettuce and spinach that has been grown right on campus! Not only does it taste good but that’s something to brag to your non-razorback friends about. So next time you get a craving for some veggies, check this place out near the University Of Arkansas. You will not be disappointed.
Located right next door to good ole Brough at the University Of Arkansas – this place is a godsend. The workers here are super nice and guaranteed to brighten your day. Meal trade is always available and they serve breakfast sandwiches as well as some super yummy lunch wraps. Every meal comes with a piece of fruit, bag of chips and a drink. This place comes in clutch when you’re on-the-go, especially as a student at the University Of Arkansas, or if you just need a break from the super predictable food that is found in our dining halls.
For all my Texas friends out there, this is the closest you are going to get to traditional Tex-Mex food on campus. Located in the Union near the University Of Arkansas, along with many other valuable food options. This is a great place to go eat with friends because you don’t all have to agree on the same place. For meal trade, they have nachos, burritos or rice bowls available and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Just watch out for queso to cost extra!
Slims is a staple food for any student living on campus at the University Of Arkansas. They are open later than the dining halls and most other meal trade locations, and who doesn’t love chicken strips? There are tons of different options to choose from and they have delicious dessert jars that come with collectible mason jars. It really doesn’t get much better than that!
So whether you live on campus at the University Of Arkansas and are stuck eating at the dining halls every day, or you have your own apartment and are just tired of cooking, check out any of these options for meal trade and you’ll find yourself completely satisfied. *Happy food dance*
