Top 5 Vegan Yogurt Brands Cultured Foodies Will Love

Vegan yogurt gives that incredible cultural and creamy experience. It also comes with health and ethical benefits. Below I listed my top 5 vegan yogurt brands that will provide all of that!

1. Silk

Silk is one of the biggest companies when it comes to vegan dairy. They make milk from different types of plants, creamers, and yogurt. It is arguably the most popular non-dairy milk brand. Every time I go to any grocery store, a Silk product is guaranteed to be on the shelves.

The reason why Silk is so popular is that it’s been on the market for a while. Its parent company, Whitewave foods, has made soy products like tofu since 1977. It might not sound that old but for a brand dedicated to non-dairy products… it is a pretty big deal. Over time, Silk has remained the top seller for plant-based milk. Silk’s soymilk has been the first non-dairy milk I tried when I was young. I did not think other companies were selling similar products.

Aside from its history, Silk now sells soy and almond-based yogurts. You can feast on flavors such as strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, mango, and much more. Silk even offers yogurt with cereal toppings. These are yogurt that comes with multiple toppings to make a fun experience. My favorite product is coconut-chocolate almond yogurt. It comes with a topping full of chocolate bits, almonds, and coconut shaving. It is so good!

2. So Delicious!

So Delicious offers incredibly delicious products. This brand also happens to have one of the most extensive catalogs ever. Hear me out! So Delicious makes plant milk, yogurt, non-dairy creamer, ice cream, and cheese. It even makes vegan cheese! This is an incredible thing!

In a previous article, I mentioned that So Delicious has some of the best variety when it comes to ice cream. They have soy, cashew, coconut, almond, and oat bases. That is incredible. And the number of flavors that come with each base… don’t get me started!

The vegan yogurt from this company is no different. Although it is only made from coconut milk, there is still an exciting array of flavors to try. You can try chocolate, peach, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry banana, and more. Like Silk, So Delicious offers cereal topping products. You can try their cocoa almond crunch, spiced blueberry, salted-caramel cluster, and more. The most exciting yogurt is probably the key lime pie flavor. It comes with delicious lime-flavored yogurt, graham cracker crumbs, and white chocolate bits. It is one of my favorite yogurt flavors I have ever tried!

Overall I find So Delicious to be… So Delicious! It is a company that commits to giving so much to plant-based consumers. Beyond variety, each one of its products is incredible. I did not find anything I didn’t like.

3. Forager Project

Forager Project specializes in organic cashew-based products. The mission of the company is to provide the cleanest non-dairy products. They also want to make their products are nutrient-dense as possible. The ingredients for each product are super clean. For example, the Forager cashew milk is made of cashews, oats, water, tapioca starch, sunflower oil, and that is it. It might sound like a long list but this is short compared to the other brands.

Forager makes milk, cheese, sour cream, cereal, chips, protein shakes, probiotic shakes, ice cream, and yogurt. You probably need to catch your breath after reading this list. It is a massive catalog. I am still not over the fact that Forager makes chips and cereal. The company started out with non-dairy milk for goodness sake!

Yogurt-wise, the cultured products are wonderful! Forager has simple flavors: strawberry, vanilla, blueberry, etc. What makes this vegan yogurt is its incredible texture and flavor. I have never tasted anything so creamy and delicious until I gave Forager a try. You can tell this company took their time to formulate something so well-done if you try it as well!

4. Oatly Oatgurt

I will like to call Oatly the king of oats! It makes sense given the company’s name. Oatly started out with a series of Oat milk that is meant to compete in the plant milk market. They have succeeded! There was a time I saw pints of Oatly everywhere!

The Oatly products are delicious. I became a massive fan of the Oatly chocolate oat milk. It was so creamy, smooth, and delicious. One of my favorite Oat milks I have tried. Hands down!

Oatly’s oatgurt is no exception. Like Forager, the company commits to making its products with high-quality ingredients. There is pea protein added to the products for enhanced nutrition. Flavors include vanilla, strawberry, blueberry, plain, peach, mixed berry, and black cherry. The list is simple, but the quality of the yogurt makes up for it. It is super smooth, rich, and creamy.

I find Oatgurt to be a great alternative for people with food sensitivities. Many people are allergic to soy, cashews, almonds, etc. Oat is not a common allergy, so Oatly is great for that market.

5. Kite Hill

I would like to pronounce Kite Hill as the queen of Almond products. It is funny how each company has its own specialty in milk bases.

Kite Hill makes cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, butter, cheese spread, and tons of yogurt. You can try Kit Hill’s regular yogurt with regular flavors such as strawberry, vanilla, etc. If you feel more adventurous, you can try their greek yogurt, protein yogurt, coconut milk yogurts, and yogurt tubes for kids. Yes! Those are basically go-gurts but healthier and cleaner. Children will absolutely go nuts for these.

The yogurt tastes incredible. Super creamy and delicious as expected. It is perfect for people who love almond milk. There is a rich and nutty flavor to the products.

Overall I find Kite Hill to be an incredible company. They make their products artisan-style, meaning they use quality ingredients and processing techniques. You can always expect something great from them.
