Top 5 Smartphones Tech Nerds will Love
Smartphones have revolutionized the telephone market. They have made the cellular experience so much better. Below I listed my top 5 smartphones that are guaranteed innovative!
1. Apple iPhone
It is a no-brainer that this phone is on the list. When it was announced back in 2008, it has triggered the transition from the cellular phone era to the smartphone era. It was one of the first, if not, the first commercially successful smartphone on the market. It is one of the few phones that had a touchscreen back in the day. I will never forget when I suddenly saw people switch from their flip phones to the iPhone. I was stunned by how people were able to check their emails without the need for a computer. This was truly a revolutionary device.
Today, the iPhone still stands strong. As of 2021, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are top in smartphone sales. They house some of the best cellular processors, beating out many other phones by speed. They also house some of the best cameras on the market. They have at least two 12 megapixel cameras that shoot in HDR. Video recording is even better since you can shoot up to 4K with 1444fps. These cameras can even compete with the Nikons, Kodaks, and Go Pros. The designs are gorgeous too. They are simple but slick and elegant.
Overall I find the iPhone to be a great buy for everyone. Even if you are not tech-savvy, iPhones are still easy to use. Thanks to the iOS software they use to make navigating easier.
2. OnePlus
Storytime! I had a friend who had problems with a smartphone she used to own. The phone will overheat, delay messages, and be a victim of other technical difficulties. They were frustrated because it affected their daily tasks in life. Then they wanted to buy a phone that provided that same smartphone experience. This time, they wanted to spend less money without sacrificing too much. This is when the OnePlus lineup comes into play.
The OnePlus phones have provided a great smartphone experience. They house excellent cameras that can compete with others. They utilize android software, one of the most used software products ever. One super cool fact about this device is the refresh rate. It can be from 1 to 120hz, depending on how much you want to save power. That alone awards bonus points. The best part is that OnePlus offers all of this while remaining to be one of the more affordable smartphones on the market.
As you can see, my friend was definitely content with their decision. They got a great smartphone experience without missing out on much.
3. Google Pixel
After seeing how massive the smartphone market has become, Google decided to hop on it. Keep in mind that Google used to be a search engine. Since then, the company has grown exponentially. The company now makes computers, home assistants, its own web server, and of course, smartphones. I gotta give it up to Google for becoming the tech giant that it is today.
The Google Pixel phones are no exception to the company’s growth. First of all, they utilize Android software. If you are transitioning from another android phone, you’ll still get that familiar experience. The design is super slick and elegant. The company has done a great job at developing these pretty phones. And the cameras are incredible. They are some of the best, if not the best camera on the phone market. They go up to 50 megapixels. 50 megapixels. I cannot think of other phones that have specs like that! They can only compete with professional cameras.
This smartphone is an amazing product. It showcases how much Google has grown over the years. It is a remarkable invention that will give Google some tech cred.
4. Samsung Galaxy Series
Samsung has one of the most extensive catalogs in the tech market. The company makes TVs, computers, headphones, washers, dryers, and of course, smartphones. The smartphone catalog alone is … extensive. There are so many products to choose from. There is the Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy A, etc. All these options are all based on what you want at a given price point. I would even discuss that there is something for everyone in the Galaxy Series.
Here are some highlights from the Galaxy Series. The most popular phone is the Galaxy S. It was one of the first Samsung smartphones to emerge. It even competed directly against Apple’s iPhone. I will never forget seeing millions of iPhone to Galaxy S comparisons surface on the internet. It was a massive tech battle that took over the tech world. As a part of your personality in the 2010s, you were either an iPhone lover or Galaxy S lover. There is no in-between.
Aside from the beef, Samsung offers some of the most technologically advanced phones. The Galaxy Notes provide a tablet-like experience. They are massive. There’s also the Galaxy Z series that feature flip phones and foldable phones. Yes! We now have a hybrid between a flip phone and a smartphone!
5. Moto Edge Plus
Motorola has been one of the OG phone companies. They are responsible for dominating the flip phone market back in the early 2000s. When I was in elementary school, It has been a dream of mine to own one of those RAZR colorful flip phones everyone had. My dad owned one, many of my friends owned one, etc. The majority of the public had them.
Today, Motorola has adapted to the smartphone market and delivered. It has a great catalog of advanced phones, but what struck me the most is the Moto Edge Plus. The display of this device wraps around the edges. It is one of the coolest displays I have ever seen. It has one of the longest battery lives ever, going up to two days. The processor and camera are incredible too!
I am glad Motorola is still up and running today. This has shown that they will not give up on what they were known for 20 years ago!
