Now that the 2015-16 college basketball season is officially over (sadly), it is time for the future NBA prospects to focus on their next step in life: the 2016 NBA Draft. In less than three months, these young men will have the most life changing experience ever.
This year is going to be different though. The NCAA constructed a new rule that basically enables any college basketball player to enter the draft, but be able to return to school if they didn’t like the position they were in after the draft (for example, not drafted). Because of this new rule, the amount of players who have declared for the draft is unreal. Literally everyone and their mom are declaring for the draft because at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter right? I mean everyone has his or her own opinions on that. Declaring from the draft earlier than you should, especially if the chance is very slim, takes away from their focus in school and makes it harder to want to return back to school to continue their collegiate career, because of their focus on being drafted.
Throughout the whole college basketball season, including preseason, college basketball experts are already predicting who the number one draft pick is going to be, who’s going to be drafted and where they’re going to go, although it changes massively. I previously had predicted who my top 10 draft picks were going to be earlier in the 2015-16 college basketball season and I’ve decided to re-predict my top 15 picks, now that the season is over and that the draft is approaching.
