Are you cramming for midterms? Did you procrastinate on your research essay for College Writing? Or, did you do the walk of shame after an awkward hookup, and the only thing to console you is greasy food and a season of “Fuller House?” We’ve all been there before. Here are ten places around Kent State that stay awake as long as you.
If you ever lived on campus at Kent State, you’ve been to Rosie’s Diner and Market, located in Tri-Towers Rotunda. It’s known for its popular menu items such as milkshakes, chicken tenders and waffles. However, you probably didn’t know that Rosie’s Diner has an extension located upstairs. Rosie’s Late Night Delivery offers pizza, subs, wings and so much more. Rosie’s Late Night delivers only on campus, but you can place your order and pick it up at the cashier’s desk in Rosie’s Diner and Market. Also, Rosie’s Late Night Delivery only accepts meal plans or flash cash.
Are you and your squad having a girls night? Treat yo self to a chocolate chip cookie, or a gooey brownie. However, don’t expect to get a single cookie delivered to your Kent State residence hall. In order to qualify for delivery, your order must come to at least $6.00. Insomnia cookies is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m!
Located in Akron Alley, Pita Pit is an healthier alternative to fast food. Pita Pit offers vegetarian options such as spicy black bean, falafel and garden pitas.
Are you craving a sandwich, but Subway at the HUB is closed along with Boar’s Head at Eastway? You can order directly from the website and receive your sub almost anywhere in Kent State, such as the University Library or Campus Pointe apartments.
You can never have enough pizza! Be on the lookout for Domino’s Pizza coupons during FlashFest, Welcome Weekend and around campus. They’ll definitely come in handy when you’re too busy for anything else around finals.
Euro Gyro offers a wide range of menu items such as pizza, wings, salads and of course, gyros!
Specializing in “Burgers, Bands and Bourbon”, Bar 145 doesn’t offer delivery or carry out, but it’s the perfect place to enjoy a custom, medium rare burger (145 degrees Fahrenheit is the perfect temperature of a medium rare burger) and live music. Bar 145 is located downtown and closes at 2:30 a.m. every day.
Taco Bell is perfect for any occasion; when you’re going through a bad break up, celebrating 420, coming home drunk at 3. a.m., or if you’re simply craving chicken quesadilla between classes. The only thing better than Taco Bell would be Taco Bell delivery.
Before going home from a party, grab some snacks and fill up your gas tank at Sheetz, located on 600 N. Mantua Street.
Hungry Howie’s is a staple for free pizza nights on campus. Howie’s is famous for its flavored crust, such as butter cheese, ranch and Cajun, for pizza lovers who want a little more spice. You may have to order your Hungry Howie’s in a hurry. It closes at 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
