You’re probably here because you’re wondering how to pay off student loans, right? It’s no lie that Student loans are a huge pain in the butt. Most of us don’t have the choice when it comes to whether or not we use them, though, so we finding creative ways to pay them off faster is key. Below are 7 tips for paying off your student loans faster:
My favorite site to use for this is surveyjunkie.com. You take surveys of different lengths and they’re worth different amounts of points. Once you get 1000 points you get your choice in payment. There are different gift card options or you can choose PayPal.
These apps make it easy to see where you’re blowing money/where you can cut down on your spending and instead put it in savings or use it for loan payments.
This may seem like a trivial, kind of childish thing to do, but keeping coins in one place can add up quickly to help you pay off student loans. Personally, I saved up all my coins for a year and had over 100 dollars which is a pretty significant amount of money, especially in college. You can set a goal with these coins as well. Maybe use them as spending money for a month and use the rest of your earnings for payments.
This is one of the best tips for paying off your student loans faster if you commit to it. Do things such as go to a nearby park that you have yet to check out, play a board game with your friends (might sound boring but try Cards Against Humanity or Oregon Trail the card game), or watch the show on Netflix you’ve been meaning to watch.
Essentially the gist of this is that instead of making one payment a month you make two payments that equal the same value a month. This not only helps decrease the cost of each payment but also accelerates whatever repayment plan you have in place to pay off your students faster.
If you ever have 20 dollars extra a month put it towards your payment. It might not be significant but will still make a difference.
This will not only bring in some extra cash, but it will also declutter your space. Pretty much a win-win if I’ve ever heard one. Use this extra cash to add to payments or use it as your spending money for a certain period of time!
