I think we all know the struggle when a pest appears on your face. This pest is called a “breakout”. There are numbers of ways to avoid breakouts. I’m sure you believed you found them all. But I’m gonna share some tips and tricks that will actually have you saying goodbye to your acne.
I know this step sounds basic, but it’s actually pretty legit. You won’t believe how many people are actually out here splashing their face with warm water and not scrubbing their face afterward with a cleanser. I personally have been using the same facial soap since sophomore year and it never fails to help my skin avoid breakouts and that’s “Dudu Osun’s African black soap”. After I wash my face thoroughly with water. I then close my pores with cold water. This is something I know a lot of people forget to do, but this is very important so your not allowing more dirt to enter your pores.
A lot of people forget this crucial step as well, especially the at night part. After you wash your face, apply your toner to a cotton ball or tissue and wipe your face clean, removing any extra oil and bacteria on your skin. It’s the most important at night. Think about it. You’ve probably been out all day, your face is filled with bacteria, if you accidentally touched your face or sweat throughout the day, you just really need to clean your face.
Do you know that this is one of the best things for your skin, and it isn’t just for avoiding breakouts but so much more?! This will help your skin heal overnight, especially if you have acne scars. It is hard to see which overnight creme will work wonders for your skin when you’re still figuring that out yourself. You need to think about what you wanna benefit. I like to use this moisturizing aloe vera gel from Trader Joes, but sometimes I use an actual aloe vera plant. It’s so good for your skin when it comes to healing redness, blemishes, acne scarring and etc. If you haven’t been healing your skin overnight yet, you need to get on it.
Keeping up with a facemask either once a week to 3x is great for your skin. I for one love facemasks and hate slacking on it. It’s so good for your skin and can have your skin appearing brighter with minimized pores. I have a number of masks I’d recommend, but here are just some. Tumeric really helped changed my skin, just turmeric and water and it has my face glowing still and my acne scars lighter. Almost any freeman mask is a must, but I love the cucumber one and the anti-stress clay mask one. Just go on Amazon and you can get a set of 4 and rotate between them.
I understand how some people wouldn’t consider it a step or understand how it protects your skin, but it does. You need to make sure it’s a face lotion though, not a lotion you use on your body as well. Make sure it works for your face and has a high SPF; this will help avoid scarring from the sun or even darkening dark marks. Plus I feel there are just soo much harsh bacteria out in the world that literally attacks your skin. I feel a good face lotion is like a barrier protecting your face. I’ve recently started using a face lotion blackskin.com sells because it has a high SPF and helps prevent dark spots and I’ve noticed progress. Before I used Olay’s oily/combination face moisturizer. So get a face lotion that works for you, and assure you, you’ll notice a change in your skin.
