8 Tiny Essentials For Your Tiny House
Tiny houses are gaining popularity and so it seems appropriate to cover the tendencies in the tiny house home decor. Of course, every tiny house is different and it’s made to match the needs and personality of the owners. And while A hammock may not be one of the tiny essentials of every house, it’s certainly a very interesting idea. While looking at all the most creative tiny house solutions is very interesting, we’re here to discuss the tiny essentials so let’s start the list.
1. Tiny Pantry
The first tiny essential is a reoccurring trend. It’s certainly a great way to utilise space so it’s no surprise that it is part of this list. It is great for storing canned food, jars, cleaning products and really anything that fits comfortably in the space and doesn’t need to be refrigerated. It’s one of my personal favourites on the list and if I was making a tiny house this would be my top tiny essential.

2. Magnetic Spice Rack
Number two on the list of tiny essentials is more popular with converted vans because they stay put on the move. However, they do have a tendency to appear in tiny houses too (whether on wheels or not). And plus, it’s certainly a great way to store spices whatever the size of your house.

3. Plants
This is definitely not only a tiny house essential, but an essential in general. Having said that, it takes the number three spot on the tiny essentials list because it can really brighten up your space. Plants are a great way to make a house feel more homie and open it up. Think of it as bringing nature into the house, it’s like removing the border between your house and the outside world. In short, it can seem more specious and fresh.
This is definitely not only a tiny house essential, but an essential in general. You may have heard this trick been used before in small apartments in the city. Mirrors give the impression of a larger space. It gives the illusion of depth and so your tiny house can seem a lot larger than it actually is. They also make the room brighter as they reflect both natural and artificial light. It’s one of those must have tiny essentials, whether you go for a full length mirror or a variety of tiny mirrors. You can take a look at thrift stores or have them custom made. 5. Nesting Bowls And Measuring Cups
Whether you go for plastic, glass or stainless steal having bowls and measuring cups that fit into each other (especially if you bake) is a big plus. It’s a tiny essential that will make you say that you have much more storage than you need.

6. Storage Baskets
Storage baskets are a great way to organise fruit and veg or other loose things around the house. In a tiny house it’s really important to keep everything tidy, because otherwise the clutter will make the space feel even smaller than it is. This tiny essential is a great way to organise items that would otherwise create clutter. IKEA offer a lot of interesting storage solutions, including a good sized, universal basket.

7. Over-the-sink drying rack
Whether it’s hidden away behind a cabinet door or just placed over your sink, this type of drying rack will definitely save you a lot of space, as it will allow you to have a larger counter. You don’t have to worry about leaving space for a massive drying rack on the side of the sink. This tiny essential conveniently allows you to put your dishes over the sink. Having this tiny essential hidden away in a cabinet is definitely a very cool feature, which is provided by IKEA.

You will see this tiny essential recommended in many other websites. Aside from in the kitchen, the S-hook can be used to organise your wardrobe, your tools, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
