10 Times Princess Charlotte Was Our Favorite Member of The Royal Family

Princess Charlotte is the only daughter and the middle child of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s three children. The four-year-old’s two siblings are older brother Prince George and younger brother Prince Louis.

Behind her grandfather Prince Charles, her father Prince William, and older brother Prince George, Princess Charlotte is fourth in the line of succession to the British Throne. Although the chances of her being the future monarch of Great Britain are slim (unless her older brother abdicates the throne for some reason), Prince Charlotte made history when Prince Louis was born as she became the first Female Royal to not move down the line of succession due to the birth of a younger brother, as The Succession to the Crown Act 2013 declares.

Along with that history-making moment, Princess Charlotte has also provided us with several memorable moments over the years which have made her everyone’s favorite Royal. These moments range from cute to adorable to sassy to funny. Some of them have gone viral and became memes.

With that being said, listed below are 10 Times That Princess Charlotte Was Our Favorite Member of The Royal Family:

1. When She Stuck Out Her Tongue at Prince Harry’s Wedding:

Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19th, 2018 was broadcast on television for the whole world to see and was the most talked-about event everywhere (from tv to online to social media) the day. Several moments from the wedding had people buzzing on social media and lead to the creation of several memes.

Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry’s niece, was one of the bridesmaids and was seen sticking her tongue out (see the photo on the left below) at photographers as she and the other bridesmaids arrived at St. George’s Chapel. This was one of the most talked-about moments from Harry’s and Meghan’s wedding and many people commented how the then three-year-old inherited her Uncle Prince Harry’s naughty side (As a young child, Prince Harry was seen doing the same thing several times (one of which is shown in the photo on the right below)). Princess Charlotte sticking her tongue out at her uncle’s wedding wasn’t the only notable time she did this.

2. When She Stuck Out Her Tongue at The 2019 King’s Cup Regatta:

After being greeted by her young children after taking part in the King’s Cup Regatta this past summer, Kate Middleton encouraged her daughter Princess Charlotte to wave to attendees. Instead, Princess Charlotte displayed her mischievous side by sticking her tongue out instead!

The moment was not only surprising but also went viral on social media! Princess Charlotte previously pulled the same stunt at her Uncle Prince Harry’s wedding the previous year.

One of Princess Charlotte’s sassiest moments came at her younger brother, Prince Louis’s  christening on July 9th, 2018. As the Royal Family of five were departing the chapel, the then three-year-old told photographers and reporters covering the event “You’re not coming.”

4. Her Royal Wave:

From a young age, the fourth in the line of succession to the British Throne has mastered the art of the royal wave, as shown in the video below during her Uncle Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle last year.

5. Each Time She Was A Bridesmaid at a Wedding:

Over the last few years, Princess Charlotte and her older brother Prince George have been a bridesmaid and a page boy respectively at a total of four weddings. The four weddings that the two eldest Royal Children were played a role in were at their Aunt Pippa’s (Kate’s younger sister) wedding (Princess’s Charlotte’s outfit for her aunt’s wedding is in the photo below) to James Matthews on May 20th, 2017; at their Uncle Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle on May 19th, 2018, at Sophie Carter’s (a friend of their mother Kate) wedding to Robert Snuggs on September 24th, 2018, and at Princess Eugenie’s (one of Prince William’s cousins) wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 12th, 2018. The two were also reported to have reprised their roles a fifth time at the wedding of a longtime friend of their dad this past summer.

Princess Charlotte looks so cute and adorable in her bridesmaid dresses at each of the weddings she was a part of. She and Prince George have the opportunity to reprise their roles two more times soon as Princess Beatrice (Princess Eugenie’s older sister and another cousin of Prince William)  and their Uncles James (Kate’s younger brother) each got engaged to their romantic partners respectively within the last two months.

Princess Charlotte is currently four years old and is like every normal young child in the world as her mother Kate Middleton revealed to a group of children in 2017 that her only daughter’s favorite TV Show is Peppa Pig! The British animated series is popular across the globe.

According to the show’s official website, the animated series is centered on the adventures of Peppa Pig, “a lovable but slightly bossy little pig” who “loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles, laughing and making loud snorting noises.” Princess Charlotte and some of the other children who served bridesmaids and page boys for her Uncle Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding to Meghan Markle were bribed with a promised viewing of Peppa Pig and candy if they were quiet during the ceremony.
