5 Tik Tok Recipes That You Need To Make Right Now

Never in a million years would I have thought that I’d discover some of my favorite recipes on an app like Tik Tok. What started out as a platform that I looked at for laughs and videos of boys and bands that I like, became a place that I refer to often for amazing recipes. Because Tik Tok posts are only a minute long max, the creators posting these brilliant Tik Tok recipes make it easy and clear on what ingredients you will need and how to follow the recipe easily. My favorite meal at the moment is a viral Tik Tok recipe: the feta pasta.

If you are looking for dishes that are easy to make and actually taste really good, then look no further. I’ve compiled a list of the five most popular Tik Tok recipes that you need to make right now. I’ve tried each of these out and I swear by all of them. So put on your favorite Tik Tok sound, throw out a few Tik Tok dance moves, and let’s start cooking.

1. The Amazing Feta and Tomato Pasta

This pasta has become the sensation of Tik Tok recipes over the past few weeks. It’s a meal for anyone who loves pasta, tomatoes, and feta. If you aren’t a fan of any of these three ingredients then I suggest you move onto something else on this list. But if you are ready to have your mind blown by this simple Tik Tok recipe, I encourage you to stick around. Packed with Italian flavors, this pasta is perfect for a cozy dinner at home with friends or by yourself.

Ingredients:

  • one pack of cherry tomatoes
  • olive oil
  • a block of feta cheese crumbles work too
  • the pasta of your choice
  • a couple cloves of fresh garlic
  • parsley, onion powder, red chili flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper
  • basil
  • an optional protein of your choice (I’ve used chicken and Italian sausage)

Boil your pasta, I usually use the whole box so I can have leftovers. Rinse your tomatoes then cover the bottom of a casserole dish with the entire pack. Drizzle with olive oil and toss the tomatoes so they are covered in the oil. Create a hole in the middle of the tomatoes and place the block of feta there. Add the couple cloves of garlic. When adding the spices, it is up to your preference. No one has provided exact measurements for the spices. Usually, a once over of the entire dish with the parsley, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper does the trick. As for the red chili flakes, I like my food pretty spicy so I use a decent amount. The amount of chili flakes you use is totally up to you. Bake at 400 for about 35 minutes or until the cheese has started to melt. Add your pasta and protein once the mixture is out of the oven. Mix all together then top with basil and enjoy!

2. “Nature’s Cereal”

The newest trending Tik Tok recipe, “Nature’s Cereal,” has already gone viral and has people trying and loving it daily. This Tik Tok recipe was posted by Lizzo who seems to really enjoy it. this simple, refreshing, and all-natural breakfast is already a meal that many creators are loving. Super quick and actually super delicious, “Nature’s Cereal” will have you feeling energized and excited about getting up for breakfast. I’ve also made it as an afternoon snack and trust me when I say it tastes great at any time of day.

Ingredients:

  • assortment of berries according to what you like (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and/or blackberries)
  • pomegranate arils
  • coconut water
  • ice cubes (mini ones so you can crunch and not hurt your teeth)

Throw your berries of choice into a bowl with the pomegranate. Add ice cubes for an extra level of coolness. Add the amount of coconut water you prefer, at least enough to cover the berries and pomegranate. Take a spoon and enjoy your new favorite cereal.

3. The Potato Galette

Cooking with Shereen had everyone trying out her more sophisticated hash brown, the potato galette. Her video has been viewed at least 18 million times already, making this one of the most viral Tik Tok recipes on the app. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even as a side for dinner, this French dish will have you licking your fingers and going back to the kitchen to make more.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large potato, peeled and grated
  • 3 tablespoons of canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese
  • salt, pepper, dill
  • sliced green onions or chives

Once you’ve peeled and grated your potato, twist and ring out the excess liquid using a cheesecloth or clean kitchen towel. Add the oil to a large skillet. Place half of the potatoes into the skillet on medium-low heat. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top then cover with the other half of the potatoes. Add salt and pepper then cook for 5-6 minutes. Flip over and continue to cook. Add more oil around the potato if needed and cook until it is a nice golden brown. Top with salt, pepper, dill, more parmesan, and green onions. Cut into quarters and serve.

4. Taki and Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno

Snack time! This tasty Tik Tok recipe went viral because it was a really good and easy snack that anyone from college students in their dorms to mothers of four could make. It’s got crunch, spice, and the simple ingredients can be swapped out based on what you prefer in terms of chip and pepper types. A little on the spicy side, it’s perfect for those of us who can handle a little bit of heat.

5. Buffalo Cauliflower and Yogurt Dip

Want the taste of savory buffalo chicken, but trying not to eat something so heavy? With this Tik Tok recipe, you can have all the taste of buffalo chicken but in a healthier and lighter way. This recipe swaps chicken wings for cauliflower, but still emulates the same fantastic taste. You’ll still enjoy an amazing dish while keeping to your healthier meal choices. It’s also a great substitute if you are vegetarian or just trying to cut back on meat.

Ingredients:

  • whole head of cauliflower
