Embarking in new experiences is part of the journey of attending college. Whether it’s going to see a college concert that is headlined by your favorite artist or studying abroad, you’re bound to experience a life changing moment. Suffolk students have experienced many phenomenal and interesting memories by attending events and putting themselves out there. A mixture of this list is a mixture of petty and nice experiences, the people I’ve met have experienced at Suffolk University. If you attended school in Suffolk University, some of these tips are relatable or will make you wonder why you didn’t choose to attend or experience these events. Here are 12 things you won’t regret doing at Suffolk University.
Please take the opportunity, if you have the chance to study abroad! As someone who didn’t study abroad, I would be amazed by the traveling pictures my friends posted on social media. If you have a passion for travel and would like to do it for cheap, then study abroad. SU has a campus in Spain, so it’s easy to travel to other countries! Just make sure your grades are together because some people didn’t take their studies abroad! This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Everyone should apply and attend an alternative spring break program. You’ll get the opportunity to meet new people and help others in the US. Whether its building houses in areas affected by disasters caused by nature or helping animals by cleaning up a beach, you’ll have fun. Most importantly, you’ll be able to have something to talk about with your family or Tinder date!
People who lived on campus has a different experience than commuter students. Students who lived on campus got all the information and tea about the crazy shit that went down in the dorms. People would hook up in the study rooms and the bathroom showers (Shout out to the shower hook ups cause germaphobes like me don’t mess with that). Commuter students could relate to on campus students, if they had a friend who lived in the dorms! This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Joining clubs give you the opportunities to grow your friend group and resume. There’s a variety of clubs that will cater to your likes and hobbies. I personally recommend joining CSN, they had the lit parties and the food at the events was always good!
Suffolk offers cheap sport game tickets to Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins games. If you have to cut class to stand in line to get some cheap tickets to watch a game go for it! This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Any Suffolk student who have dreams of being a model or want some dope Instagram pictures, please audition for the CSN fashion show. You’ll get to meet designers and build a portfolio. I’ve hosted the fashion show and it’s really fun! This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Participating in a plagues you the opportunity to make friends and learn a new hobby. The theater department is full of sweethearts and truly talented people. You won’t regret participating in a school play. They’re really fun especially when they involve the audience during scenes.
I’ve personally cursed out students in front of campus buildings for spread second hand smoke. Some people who had cigarette smoke blown into their face. Please say something, If that happens to you! No one has time for second hand smoke! This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Many clubs have hosted parties on campus. Students should definitely attend club events because you’re going to have fun and make friends! CSN have host after parties for their events and it gets pretty entertaining. If you’re looking for snap material, PLEASE attend their after parties!
If you want to get away from Boston for a few hours, then definitely participate in the Program Council NYC trip. This trip usually sells out real quick due to limited spots! You’ll have time to explore NYC!
This is relatable to the savages on campus. Take a trip to Sawyer 3rd floor, if you’re looking to hear jokes and entertaining but outlandish discussions. This is a thing you won’t regret doing at SU!
Regardless what school you attend, take the opportunity to go to a concert hosted by your university. J.Cole perfumed at Suffolk my freshmen year, after the concert was over my friends and I got the chance to meet him! Most importantly it will definitely be cheaper to attend a university concert headlined by your favorite artist than seeing them on tour! If you’re on a budget but love music, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!
