10 Things You Want To Tell Your Little Before You Graduate

There are so many things you want to tell your little before you graduate. So here we go.

Dear Little,

As May quickly approaches I have to accept that there will be a time where you return to State College and I don’t. As sad as this thought is, we’re gonna be OKAY. I never thought I would join a sorority and now I have a sister for the rest of my life. I’m eternally grateful for you in my life.

1. You’ll get sick of me soon enough.

There will be a permanent me sized shaped on your couch for all the weekends I’m going to come back to see you. It will be as if I never left. I will come back to go to football games with you and go to our favorite bars. You’re my person and space will never change that.

2. I’m only a phone call away.

Whether it’s a boy, or an assignment, or gossip that you need to get off your chest, I am always a phone call away. Never be too shy to call me. It will never be a bad time to talk to you and hear about your life. I promise I will always be there no matter where I am on the earth. Tag me in everything. Send me every meme. Share every article on my pages. I want our memories to come flooding back when you’re sad so you never forget me.

3. Never doubt that you can change the world.

You’re going to do great things. Don’t ever give up on yourself. You will get through your last semester without me and you will do amazing things in your life. I can’t wait to tell people I knew you when.

4. We ended up together for a reason.

When you doubt if we will be close in the future, don’t. We ended up in the same aisle at Michaels for a reason. We ended up getting matched as big and little for a reason. One day we will kick back over a glass of wine and remember all of the chaos we caused and I simply can’t wait.

5. We’re going to drift apart, and that is OK.

We might not like it, but I am going to be 4 hours away come August. We won’t see each other everyday and we won’t know every single things about each other’s lives. But that is ok. We’re going to make other friends and we’re going to make other memories. In the end we met for a reason and no matter how far away we drift, I know you’re only a phone call away when I need you.

6. Go to all the socials when I’m not there to drag you.

Life isn’t like college. Socials might seem silly now but one day you’ll miss them. Go to one once in while when I can’t drag you out. Let me live vicariously through you when you call me on Sunday and tell me the crazy stories of your weekend.

7. Be the glue.

The family is going to start to fall apart. Don’t let it. Be the glue that forces the family bonding. Welcome the new members to the family with open arms and corrupt them lie I corrupted you. Love them unconditionally and guide them.

8. It’s over in the blink of an eye.

Your college experience will be over faster than you think. Enjoy every minute of it. Find other indigo buddy and dance your heart out. Embrace everything State College has to offer because soon you’ll have to say goodbye too and it’s really hard to do.

9. I hope one day you find a little to love as much as I love you.

You truly changed my life. I hope one day a pledge approaches you nervously in a craft store and forces their way into your life because that’s the best thing that has happened in my life in a long time. Thank you for being my rock through my last year of college and thank you for being my other half. One day you will understand what it is like to be a big and have someone who you can love unconditionally. It’s awesome.

10. Thank you.

Thank you for being my dancing partner and partner in crime. I will tells our stories forever and I’m excited for what we will do in my last three months.
