The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a decision that you won’t regret. UNL has more than 150 majors to choose from 9 different colleges. There are also over 400 student organizations to be a part of. There is no doubt that Nebraska has everything. You are sure to find what you’re interested in at UNL. GBR!
University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers many student tour guides. These students take you to all the important places like the Adele learning commons, the Union, and the REC center.
UNL has many art structures throughout campus. These structures are unique and are considered landmarks here.
The COB is ranked #45 in the undergraduate business programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The building was completed in 2017 and costed a total of 84 million dollars. All the money was funded by private donations. The modern design of the building and classrooms will make you fall in love with it.
This gate is a little tourist spot to go to if Memorial Stadium is closed. It is open 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. It’s a great spot to see the stadium when it’s empty. Make sure to take a picture with the field.
If you want a more in-depth tour, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. offer personal tours around the stadium. You get to see the “behind the scenes” of where the athletes work out, and even eat. Definitely recommend at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
This dining hall is new to campus. It is located by the suites. It has a modern look to it and some of the best food for a dining hall.
It is recommended that freshman live in the dorms or suites on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. You can go to any dorm or suite and see a model room. I would go check them out and see which one you like. This way you know exactly what they will look like. The pictures online are pretty clear but you can’t truly picture the size and what not in your head.
I only toured in the fall and spring. Now, it’s winter and it’s not fun walking to class. Definitely come in the Fall and see how the atmosphere is. Then, come in the winter and see if you still have the same feelings. Most schools in the midwest are cold and snowy in the winter, so keep that in mind when you’re making a decision.
Sit in the Union and watch how students interact with each other and the campus. By doing this, you can get a feel of how college students interact. Also, notice how busy Starbucks gets at the end of each class.
My favorite part of campus is the rec center. There are plenty of machines and free spaces to work out, multiple basketball courts, and a pool. The rec center also features massage therapy, where you can get massages for a great price. My favorite part of the rec center is taking classes and using the sauna. You can purchase a $55 class pass per semester and go to any fitness class you want. Great deal!
Some of the college students’ favorites are Canes, Honest Abe’s, and Toppers. There is such a variety of food places downtown. You will be able to find any type of food you want.
There are so many things you can do downtown. It is such a quick walk from campus. You can shop at some boutiques, go to the movies, and even go ice-skating in the winter. There is always something going on. You will never find yourself bored downtown.
This one is obvious. UNL is part of the Big Ten conference, so Husker games are a must! Everyone is so hyped about the Huskers. It’s such a great experience to be a Husker.
Do you even go to Nebraska if you don’t own any apparel?
Finally, if you really want to see if UNL is the right fit, walk around campus by yourself or with your family to see if you like it. Campus seems huge when you are walking around for the first time, but as you start to familiarize yourself, campus isn’t actually that big. Like we always say “There is no place like Nebraska.”
