10 Things You Have To Wear On Your First Date

First dates bring so much anxiety. So, if you’re going to be super nervous at least look cute. Let’s think of this as an interview. You don’t want to go to the interview like you’re ready to “Netflix and chill” because more than likely you will not get a callback. These outfits will help bring out your classy side and some you’re more fun side. They are all something you could wear when he brings you home to mom. But let’s get through this date first.

Flowy Shirt and High Waisted Jeans and Sandals

A flowy shirt will be more comfortable than a tight shirt. It gives you more flexibility in case you need to bend for bowling or mini-golf. High waisted jeans cover up the parts of your stomach that you wish to not advertise. Some men are really into nice feet, so it would be nice to wear a pair of sandals with a new pedicure.

High waisted jeans and Heels

Heels are usually frowned upon for dates but if you know how to wear them I don’t see anything wrong with them. Some of us know how to run, jump, and even play in a pair of heels. Showing him how easy heels are for you would be a plus. Unless you see yourself struggling and uncomfortable the entire date, then switch to sneakers. High waisted jeans are more dressy than regular jeans.

Graphic Tee and Skinny Jeans and Sneakers

A graphic tee shows a part of your personality. If you choose to wear a funny shirt, one from a concert, or anything that shows a piece of you. This will also make a great ice breaker and your date can learn something about you and your style. The skinny jeans will show off your curves and since they are jeans you can be comfortable. If you don’t know where you are going on your first date it is best to wear sneakers.

Button up shirt with Jeggings and Flats

Button up shirts are fun. If you feel like being a little sexy you can have a couple buttons unbutton to show off. If you don’t feel like being that sexy button that shirt all the way up to the collar. It’s your call. Jeggings are so comfortable. They fill like leggings but look like jeans. A great combination for a comfortable first date. Flats are also comfortable and in case your date is short you won’t be too much taller than him. Flats can also be fancy if they have sparkles or diamonds on them which will make you outfit as a whole pop.

Cami Top with Skinny jeans Casual Sneakers

A Cami top is flattering but at the same time, it doesn’t reveal too much. It allows you to be comfortable in case you have an outdoor first date. Skinny jeans are casual and go perfectly with a Cami for a first date. A Cami is comfortable if the date is outside on a nice warm evening. Sneakers will give you comfortability while you look cute in your skinny jeans and Cami top on your first date.

Blazer with a Cami with a high waisted skirt and flats

A blazer gives off a professional vibe. If you pair your blazer with a v neck it shows that you can be both fun and professional. A blazer can also hide any parts of your back or stomach that you gained during the winter. When I go to the movies I always bring a jacket, a blazer will keep you comfortable and cute during a movie. A high waisted skirt will hide any imperfections you feel you may have. The right skirt will make your waist look smaller and your buns bigger. It sounds like a win-win for a first date outfit to me.

Casual Fitted Dress with Ankle Boots

A fitted dress will show your date your figure but if its casual it would make you look too dressed up. A casual dress for a first date is perfect because it allows you to be active on your date or sit and enjoy a nice dinner.  Ankle boots are a nice touch with a dress. They keep your feet warm but not too warm. They are casual but not too casual like flip flops.

Cute Blouse and Knee Length Skirt

A cute blouse shows that you put some thought into your outfit. A cute blouse can be dressed up with a knee skirt or dress down with a pair of skinny jeans. For a first date, I choose to be more dressed up. A knee-length skirt on a first date will show that you are classy because your skirt is long and not short, revealing too much skin. The skirt should be form-fitting but not too tight that you can barely move. I want you to be comfortable so that your attention is on your date and not on your tight attire.

Casual Black Dress with Sandals

You can never go wrong with black. Black is sleek and classy. Black can hide those extra pounds you haven’t burned off yet while flattering the good you have done in the gym. Keep your black dress simple with a pair of sandals on this first date. You would be glad you kept it simple if your date is a casual dinner.

Copy this look:

Crop Top with High Waisted Slacks with Sandals

Want to show off those abs you have been working on in the gym? A crop top would be perfect. It’s like a shirt but allows you to show a little skin. If you pair a crop top with a pair of high waisted slacks it will show off your abs without seeing any skin, which leaves more to the imagination. The right pair of slacks would show a professional side.

What you wear on a first date says a lot about you and your expectations for the date. So, keep it cute and simple and you won’t go wrong.
