5 Things You Can Bedazzle You Never Thought Of

How many times have you seen something with jewels and rhinestones (not necessarily clothing, but anything), and thought “wow, that’s so cute, but I probably could make that.” I have thought about that scenario multiple times, and I’m here to tell you that it’s completely possible. Bedazzling is so trendy and in, you will never want to stop bedazzling–it’s like an addiction.

I know what you’re thinking…bedazzling? You did that in like, 3rdgrade. If you told anyone you were going to bedazzle something now, they would either think you’re a child, or they would think it’s the coolest thing ever. Regardless of what they think, you should invest in buying one. They typically are around $20, and you can get them from multiple places.

Now you’re probably thinking, “what am I going to do with a bedazzler?” As I said before, there’s so many cute things you can use it for if you knew how or what to use it on. Lucky for you, here are 5 things you can use your bedazzler for that you may have never even thought of.

1. Denim

I know it seems basic, but it really is a good idea. Denim is not cheap in general, and if it has any sort of beads or rhinestones on it, they can mark it up a ton. I will admit that some bedazzled denim is way too over the top for me, but if it’s just the right amount it’s super trendy and in. For example, having a jean jacket with some bedazzling on it is super cute. Jeans with some bedazzling either near the top or bottom is different and fun. The best part about it is that you can customize it any way you want.

2. Halloween costumes

While this may not be for every girl, but a lot of times Halloween costumes require a ton of work and money. Just admit it: at least onceyou’ve wanted to be a mermaid and have one of those cute bedazzled bras (if you haven’t already). The bedazzler is a perfect way to achieve that, especially since buying one from Etsy is super expensive. You can even use the bedazzler for something like a superhero costume, or for that matter any costume that you want to add a little bit of fun to.

3. Personalize house items

I see things on Pinterest all the time, and whether or not its ordered from somewhere or made by that person, bedazzling household items is always a good idea. You could add some bedazzling to a bath towel, a pillow, a pets bed, etc. If you really feel like having a task, you could even bedazzle a chair where the seams meet, or however you feel looks good. It’s a cute way to add some sparkle in your house without it being super tacky or out of place.

4. Shoes

Shoes are another great thing to bedazzle, because you have the freedom to bedazzle as much as you want or don’t want. You can add some bling to the bottom of heels, the top of your converse or favorite gym shoes, or even some black boots. I’ve seen this done on Pinterest to a lot of shoes and it looks super cute when it’s done thoughtfully and tastefully. You can really make yourself pop!

5. “Pleather” jacket

My favorite by far is bedazzling a “pleather” jacket (basically fake leather). You’re welcome to do a real one, but I personally wouldn’t given how expensive leather can be. Regardless, it’s super cute to add a few rhinestones or jewels throughout a black leather jacket–doesn’t have to be anything over the top, but just enough so that its noticeable.
