12 Things You Are Forgetting On Your Wedding Registry

Wedding planning has to be one of the top 10 most stressful things that a girl is going to endure in her lifetime. With finalizing the catering, music, the photographer, and the seating chart, making a wedding registry is the last thing on your mind. Here are 12 things that you are forgetting on your wedding registry that you mind want to add!

1. Tools

Whether you and your new hubby are moving into a house or an apartment together, stuff is bound to break! Especially with all of the new things that you will receive at your wedding, there will be a few things you have to screw and hammer in order to make it work.

A new couples’ tool kit will include everything that you need in case of emergency or if you are feeling especially handy. Make sure that it includes all of the essentials plus anything extra for whatever you need to do!

2. Board Games

Now that you and bae are married, it will seem like every social gathering you have with your friend groups will have to be hosted at your place. It’s the unwritten and nonofficial rule that happens when you say ‘I do.’ The best kind of hostess has everything she needs to entertain her guests and our favorite option for that is board games!

Wherever you registered, make sure that you are adding some fun new games for you and your friends. Either the classics like Monopoly or Scrabble or something new that no one had played before! This is also a fun way to spice up your coffee table decor.

3. Cleaning Supplies

Moving in somewhere new with your SO means more cleaning as there are 2 people living in the space. This is a good and a bad thing, depending on how prepared you are to fight off all of the messes. It can also get pretty pricey if you are having to purchase all of these supplies for the first time.

Drop a few supplies like brooms, mops, and other cleaning solutions onto your wedding registry so that your guests can help you out. This is also a great way to get some new cleaning tips from some of your guests.

4. Clutter Organization

If you have not been living with your SO before getting married, your living styles will most likely be completely different. You might be super messy and your partner is super tidy; the two are going to have to find a way to live together.

Fight the potential clutter by putting organizers on your wedding registry. Any kind of organizers for your closets, pantry, or refrigerator will help the chaos of your shared home and have things looking super nice. As always, Pinterest has tons of inspiration for this type of stuff, so pin away!

5. Spices

This is one of those things that you do not think of until you are halfway done with making your first meal in your new home and you don’t have anything to season it with! Your wedding registry not only needs some basics like salt, pepper, and shakers, but it needs a little bit of everything.

Make sure that you add other spice varieties that you and your honey can enjoy as Mr. and Mrs. There are great variety packs on Amazon and Target so that you can be sure that everything is taken care of and your food is tasting delicious.

6. Date Night Ideas

Once you and your new spouse get in the swing of marriage and everyday life together, the romance might seem sparse. You might be in need of a date night and a little one on one time outside of the home just like when you were dating!

Ask your guests for their best date ideas or things that you could use for an epic date night. Maybe you want to plan a sweet dinner for your partner complete with a large entree and dessert, then add some nice pans and a fondue warmer for the perfect date night!

7. Recipes

You might be more of a take-out kind of gal or a big fan of the Chick-fil-A drive-thru, but your SO really wants to learn their way around the kitchen. Use this opportunity to ask your guests for their best recipes. You won’t have any trouble navigating your way around the kitchen come dinner time once you are married. You will hopefully have a large pile of options for dinners and you both will find your faves!

8. One Year Subscriptions

One of the best new things to enter some wedding registries is the options for one-year subscriptions! This can be anything from Amazon Prime to Hulu to even Chewy for your furry friends! This will give you and bae an opportunity to figure out if you want o to continue to use the membership and subscription after the one-year trial!

9. Honeymoon Money

Honeymoons are pricey regardless of where you go or what you do. Even if you prolong your trip for some time after your wedding, you still have to pay the same amount!

A great new option is to add a place for your guests to gift some cash for your honeymoon! Maybe you have all the dishes, appliances, and furniture and you don’t really need any of that to be gifted. This is a great gift that just keeps giving!

10. Bar Cart

This gift will go hand in hand with entertaining! Not only is this a great decor piece for your new place with your spouse, but it is great for entertaining your guests. Bar varts are a little pricey, depending on where you buy it from, and then you have to factor in the rest of the cart accessories for making drinks. Take the stress away and just click ‘add’ on your wedding registry!

11. Lawn Tools

This is another one of those things that you do not think of until you actually need it! Maybe you are getting married in the fall, and then come springtime, you do not have a lawnmower, garden shears, or even a shovel to take care of your new place.

Ask for the essentials like a rake, shovel, and a hoe, as well as anything else you want! Do not forget some garden gloves and a big sun hat to complete the look!

12. Grocery Store Giftcards

Yes really! Grocery store gift cards! Especially if you have been living alone, your grocery store budget will change now that you are shopping for two. It is super nice if you have the trip taken care of instead of having to pocket out that hard-earned cash for some snacks.

Maybe you can even change up where you grocery shop with this gift and try something new! Regardless, your registry is missing this important item!
