15 Things We’d All Rather Be Doing Than Studying For Exams

No one likes studying for tests is the only thing standing between you and break. Totally unfair. We definitely wish we weren’t studying so we made a list of things we of things we’d all rather be doing than studying. Looking for a way to procrastinate? Read on for some good ideas!

1. Making a list of things we’d rather do than study

Clearly, this was the very first thing we would rather be doing or we wouldn’t have this list! However, studies have shown that making lists help you feel more organized, gives you a clear goal, helps you feel accomplished and relieves stress. While making a list of things you would rather do may stop you from actually studying, it gives you a chance to take a break and have a little fun.

2. Dying our hair rainbow colors

College is definitely the time to experiment and with midterms coming up, why not try out a new (temporary) hair color? With products that range from one wash to a month’s worth of washes, you can try out as many colors as you want without the commitment! If you’re heading somewhere tropical for Spring Break, we recommend grabbing some blue or turquoise colors so you can have all the mermaid vibes. Go all in and dye your whole head or be subtle and add some fun highlights.

3. Creating TikToks

At this point basically, everyone either has a TickTok or has had one at some point. If you are looking to waste some time, hop on and get some clout. Scroll through the trending hashtags and check out the latest dance/storytime/sound clip to jump on board with. Don’t feel like getting in front of the camera? Search the hashtag #dogsoftiktok and you’ll find hours of entertainment!

4. Listening to podcasts

If you don’t already have a favorite podcast (or ten), what are you waiting for? With millions to listen to on just about any topic you can think of, it’s the perfect way to relax and forget about the studying you should be doing. Need some suggestions? Try fan favorites like My Favorite Murder, The Joe Rogan Experience or basically anything from Wondery. Looking for a laugh with a true dose of WTF? Try My Dad Wrote A Porno. You’re welcome.

5. Binge Watching Disney+

Disney Plus releasing basically gave everyone the ability to return back to childhood and refuse to get off the couch. With all the old favorites and new releases (hello Baby Yoda) there is something for everyone on the new platform. Step one, start Lizzie McGuire. Step two, never stop watching. Step three, forget midterms exist. Don’t forget the snacks.

Obviously, we mean by using tanless lotion (because hello skin cancer and wrinkles). With so many options that range from instant to longlasting, you can find one you like over break and be ready to be tan all summer long!

7. Picking Out Our Bikinis For Spring Break

Now that your tan is glowing, now is the time to go and try on bikinis. Or, since you are supposed to be studying, maybe just check them out online. Even if you don’t buy one, get inspired and treat yourself to a shopping trip after you’re done with midterms!

8. Finding A New Hobby

Whether it is hand-lettering, embroidery or pottery, finding a new hobby takes time! First, spend a couple hours deciding on what hobby you’d like to try. Then go out and buy all the tools you need, spend a few days perfecting your craft then don’t forget to share your work on Instagram. #newhobby #imadethis #shouldbestudying

We’ve all done it but what better time to decorate your future house/plan your wedding/dress your future children than when you should be studying for midterms?
