10 Things To Pack If You’re Going On Vacation To Arizona

Space in your suitcase is always limited for any vacation you take, but especially if you’re taking a vacation to Arizona this summer or anytime soon. You’ll need plenty of summer clothes since its so stinkin’ hot, but that’s not all! Check out this list to see what else you’ll need!

1. Bathing Suits

You’ll be spending a lot of time by the pool because of the heat, so bring a few bathing suits! This is one of my favs! Whether it be a two-piece or a one-piece, you do you!

2. Sunscreen

Not only is the heat going to be brutal, but the sun will also be your worst enemy. Make sure to protect your skin!! If you’re flying in, the airline might not allow it on the plane, so make sure to pick some up as soon as you land. But if you’re driving, pack it with your other belongings!

3. Hat

For the days where you don’t want to do your hair, just bring a hat along! It also keeps your hair out of your face when hiking or exercising. Whether it be a cute baseball hat or a big sun hat, bring whatever makes you comfortable!

4. Lots of Shorts

Depending on how long you’re going for, bring a pair or two for each day you’ll be there. You’re going to be producing a lot of sweat and going through a lot of clothes, so make sure you have enough!

5. Lots of Shirts/Tank Tops

Again, you’ll be sweating a lot and you’ll want to change out of those sweaty shirts ASAP. No one likes the feeling of being sweaty, so bring enough to get you through the vacay!

6. Sports Bras

You’ll most likely be doing a lot of hiking and adventuring while you’re there, so bring sports bras! Real bras will hold the sweat longer than sports bras do and they are comfier!

7. Gym Shoes

You’ll want comfy shoes to wear while hiking the Grand Canyon and doing other adventuring throughout the state. Gym shoes are the best option, but you can obviously bring other shoes if you want! You’ll just be doing a lot of walking and it’s comfier to walk in gym shoes rather than sandals.

8. A Party Outfit. Or Two.

There’s a chance you’ll go out a couple nights while you’re there to experience nightlife in downtown Phoenix or Tempe. So bring a cute outfit or two to wear out!

9. Bronzer

Along with sunscreen to protect your skin, there’s no doubt you’ll want to get tan, too! Bring some bronzer with you to help speed the process up, so when you head home, you’ll have a nice, golden tan without the chance of getting sunburnt!

10. A Good Book

It’s a vacation! Grab a book you’ve wanted to read for a while and layout by the pool! You’ll also need it for the plane ride or road trip (but only if you’re a passenger!). Here’s what I’m bringing on my trip!

This is the description: “In the stunning first novel in Marlon James’s Dark Star trilogy, myth, fantasy, and history come together to explore what happens when a mercenary is hired to find a missing child.”

But for real, I totally recommend getting to Arizona at some point! I went for the first time this summer and it was so amazing! The Grand Canyon really puts your life into perspective as to how small we are and how big the world really is. It’s also nice to get away for a little bit and not have to worry about work and other issues!
