Boston has recently opened it’s newest project, a sports bar named Banners, right across the way from TD Garden. This fun and innovative new drinking and dining experience will have its guests raving about it for weeks! Banners, unlike any other restaurant, offers a unique viewing and gaming experience with it’s Tap’s Topgolf Swing Suite. Customers can play while they eat and score some points by hitting a micro-chipped golf ball at a giant dartboard-like target.
The Banners Kitchen & Tap’s Topgolf Swing Suite also has three private bays to enjoy golf, hockey, football, baseball, zombie dodgeball, and carnival game simulations in a lounge experience with full food and drink service. Each Topgolf Swing Suite can accommodate eight guests for one-hour increments to be reserved on the Banners website.
Banners is now known for being the bar with the massive TVs. Their main television is so large that it is being deemed the “Dream Screen”. The banners “Dream Screen,” attendees will be able to watch Boston’s favorite sports teams on a 39.5- foot diagonal LED television, the largest on-screen sports viewing experience in the city of Boston.
Also, throughout the restaurant there are thirteen additional smaller television screens and five banners that show the live game scores.
Beer lovers will fall in love with the selection of craft beers offered at Banners. Banners has over 60 rotating tap lines installed and maintained by a South Boston- based draft beer system company. Banners large beer list makes it one of the largest in Boston! Who wouldn’t want to come sample some of these unique beer flavors?
Banners has even created an app for the phone where customers can go on the app and check what is available on tap. They can even rate the beers they try and connect with others in the community who agree or disagree with their ratings. Banners makes drinking beer an interactive and hands on experience. With this new twist in beer tasting, customers will not want to go anywhere else for their craft beer!
Banners restaurant features a full menu developed by Patina Restaurant Group’s Boston Culinary Director, Jacqueline Kelly. This new menu showcases items that offer new takes on sports bar staples. Customers can enjoy traditional American sports bar dishes, such as chicken wings and nachos, or they can dine on something more specific, such as a sweet potato noodle bowl.
For guest who have eyes bigger than their stomach, Banner’s offers large plated items, such as sandwiches, burgers, and plates. Some of those plates include the Fat Rooster Fried Chicken Sandwich, the NE IPA Battered Fish & Chips, and the Double Stack Burger. These delectable dishes will be sure to satisfy even the hungriest customer!
Banners got its name from the success of the Boston Sports teams. To honor both the Bruins hockey team and the Celtics basketball team, both of which play at TD Garden which is located across from Banners. Both the Bruins and the Celtics have had all of their championship banners raised into the rafters for the last several decades, and to honor this timeless tradition, the new Boston Sports Bar, Banners, was created.
Banners will feature an electric beverage program that was designed by acclaimed bar director, Jackson Cannon. Cannon’s take on classic cocktails at some of the best restaurants in Boston, such as The Hawthorne and The Island Creek Oyster Bar, has earned him national and international recognition.
Banners is serving the classic cocktails, such as expresso martinis and Moscow Mules, along with a few draft cocktails, such as the “Champions Cup” and the “Legends Way.” The “Champions Cup” consists of vodka, coconut, lime, banana, and bubbly, while the “Legends Way” is made with bourbon, vermouth, cynar, and campari. Along with these creatively made cocktails, Banners also serves some high-end whiskey beverages.
This new and exciting sports bar is located amongst the homes of Boston’s home of their famous sports teams, TD Garden. Banners exact location is at The Hub on Causeway street, the joint-venture development by Delaware North and Boston Properties located in the heart of Boston sports, on the former side of Boston Garden and adjacent to the TD Garden and North Station.
Banners will reside next to a new and famous restaurant opened by celebrity chef, restauranteur, author, and Emmy Award-winning host, Guy Fieri. This restaurant will be Fieri’s newest restaurant and will be called “Guy Fieri’s Tequila Cocina.” This new latin themed restaurant promises to bring the flavors of Latin America to the heart of Boston’s entertainment hub.
Guy Fieri was quated stating, “Boston has always been one of my favorite cities for DDD…great people and even better food. So, to have the chance to start the party at Big Night Live with my Tequila Cocina, I couldn’t be more stoked!”
Known for it’s incredible diversity, the city of Boston is sure to love Guy Fieri’s newest restaurant creation.
Along with it’s amazing food selection, Banners offers a Boston-Themed Dessert menu. Every dessert Bostonians are known to love, such as a Boston Cream Whoopie Pie Stack and an Ultimate Deep-Dish Apple pie, are offered here.
While the dessert list is not too long, customers will not have trouble finding something that catches their eye! They can dig into their dessert while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or a freshly brewed espresso.
