Imagine how nice it would be if this plush faux fur carpet were the first thing you feel when you get out of bed in the morning. It’s like a cloud under your feet! The fur will instantly make your dorm room look cozier aesthetically. You can find plenty of shapes and colors, but white is definitely the most luxe.

It’s scientifically proven that more pillows make your bed cozier. Okay, maybe that’s not true, but anecdotally I totally think this is true. This pair of white fuzzy pillows will make your bed cozier. Hugging a fuzzy pillow is nice because the fuzz is soft on your arms and on your face. Again, the fur will add coziness to your room while adding a very luxurious touch. Plus, these would look good in pretty much any dorm room!

This little cat-shaped pillow is the perfect little friend to add to your bed. This is pretty much the grown-up version of a stuffed animal, and I’m totally here for this. You could use this as a pillow or as a stuffed animal. If you’ve been missing your pets, this is a great solution, even though this cat won’t purr or meow.

Nothing says cozy like a big fuzzy blanket! Get one for your dorm room and you’ll never want to get out of bed. This one comes in multiple colors and sizes, and all I’ll recommend is getting one that’s big enough to fully immerse yourself in. As lovely as comforters are, and as warm as they keep you, a fuzzy blanket is even cozier because of the fuzziness. You can find blankets like this for pretty cheap, but if you’re hoping to keep it around for a while it is worth it to spend just a little bit more to get a really soft one that’s better quality.

Twinkle lights are a staple of the Tumblr goals dorm room, and there’s no question why. They’re cute, add atmosphere, and make even the dullest dorm room cute. If you don’t already have some in your dorm, consider getting this twist on the normal lights. These are shaped like little stars which are even more aesthetic. Make sure they’re allowed in your dorm before you order them, and make sure if you do get twinkle lights that you don’t hang them next to super flammable things and that you don’t leave them on when you sleep or when you leave your dorm!

If you’re really feeling extra and want your dorm to be super cozy, consider ordering a canopy to hang over your bed. Of course, you’ll have to clear this with your roommate, but imagine how cute it would look! And you’d get a little more privacy and feel a little bit like you’re a princess. And who doesn’t want that? It’s like a fort you don’t have to take down! Again, be careful if you hang it near any lights because it’s probably pretty flammable! And make sure you hang it with command hooks so you don’t cause any damage.

Unfortunately, it’s pretty likely you can’t burn a candle in your dorm room. That being said, no one said you absolutely had to light it to get the scent. If you get one with a strong enough scent, leaving it open can do the trick! If you want the flickering of a candle but you aren’t supposed to burn one, you could get a fake one, spray some room spray, and pretend. I choose to link a vanilla candle because nothing says cozy like vanilla.

Dorm rooms aren’t naturally that homey in general, and the easiest way to fix that is to decorate it. And to cover the walls. Hanging a tapestry will quickly transform your room by covering a large portion of the blank wall. If you choose something more neutral like this it can be pretty calming and relaxing. Plus you won’t feel like you’re in a cinderblock box anymore.

Technically this is apparel but imagine coming in from the chilly autumn air and putting this on right away! You could hang it on the back of your door or leave it on your bed and put it on when you get home. The only risk is that you’ll probably never want to take it off! Dorm rooms can be really cold if you don’t have control over the thermostat, so it’s always good to have something like this on hand to keep yourself warm.

Again, this is apparel, but seriously so important for being comfy in your dorm. Instead of wearing your slides around your dorm, why not war some super fuzzy socks to keep your feet warm? Keep these next to your door and put them on after you take your shoes off to keep your toes warm. Plus because the outside of these isn’t fuzzy you don’t have to worry about slipping when you’re walking on the hardwood. And you don’t have to feel the cold tile of the bathroom under your feet!
