Chances are you’ve been stuck in quarantine for quite some time now, like for instance I’ve been in quarantine since mid-March, about two and a half months. So what comes after quarantine you ask? Here are 10 things to do immediately after quarantine!
One of the things that’s been terrible about quarantine is not seeing your family. One of the absolute first things to do when you’re out of quarantine is to see them. Give them a big old hug and spend as much time with them as you can. While the hug isn’t social distancing, I’m sure its definitely necessary. I know for even my immediate family it’s been tough, especially if you have siblings and relatives in other states. Family is an important factor to everyone’s life and I’m sure it’s been tough since you haven’t been able to see them. So if you still have to practice social distancing, throw a social distancing barbecue, and that way you can still get together and see everyone!
So while family is important, I’m sure you’ve missed the living heck out of your significant other. Well when quarantine’s over you can finally see them. It’s tough going from spending so much time with one another to now not seeing them for an extended period of time. I’m definitely jealous if you were allowed to quarantine with your significant other. So once quarantine is lifted set up that date night or day date you’ve been waiting for and go all out. They’ll be just as happy to see you as you are to see them!
While this isn’t the most important thing to do post quarantine, it’s made my list. I’m sure self care has been lacking while you’ve been stuck at home. No motivation to do just about anything. Netflix in your pajamas, trust me I’m right there with you. But post quarantine is the perfect time to get back on your self care routine. Nails is definitely on my list, alone time. It gives me alone time from all the people I’ve been stuck with in my house for the past at least two and a half months. It’ll make you feel refreshed and your hands will look pretty. And with summer coming up, add a pedicure and make it a spa day! While you’re at the nail salon, make it a three in one! Have them wax your eyebrows too!
Like I said before, self care has definitely been lacking during quarantine. So to go along with getting my nails done, I’ve added a spray tan to the list. It’s this weird thing where I always feel better when I’m tan. So this tan is definitely going to help boost your motivation point quarantine, look your best and feel your best!
Got roots? Yeah, me too. With everything closed, including hair salons, we finally get to see everyone’s true hair color. So after quarantine is over, to the hair salon we go. Whether it’s to freshen up your blonde, or deepen your brunette, or maybe it’s to fix your quarantine hair mistake. We’re all going to be headed to the hair salon. This is another one of those look good, feel good things. We’re going to need everything possible to help bring our motivation back after quarantine! Getting your hair colored and/or cut is a great way to freshen yourself up after you’ve been stuck inside for so long!
Where are all my shopaholics at? Okay this one is a little silly, but yet again I know being able to just browse at any store is a sense of relief after being stuck in quarantine. The Marshalls chain is the one store I can’t wait to go back to after quarantine is over. Not even to shop, but just being able to get out of the house to one of my favorite places. And while shopping isn’t a top priority, my shopaholics know you can’t go into a Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Homegoods without buying something…
With Marshall’s comes our next post quarantine shop, Ulta and Sephora. Okay hear me out, makeup expires. You’ve been inside for quite some time. Most makeup products that you use daily have about a three month life. So you’re going to need to buy new makeup once quarantine is over. Or at least this is the perfect justification to tell your significant other as to why you need to buy more makeup! It’s also the perfect time to try out all the new products that were released while you weren’t allowed to go shopping at your favorite stores!
With being stuck in quarantine, chances are you haven’t had a change in scenery in a while. Time to go visit your lake or beach house, or that of a family member or friend. Fresh air and water can do wonders for our stale brains. Go swimming, boating, kayaking, tanning, it’ll all help bring your spirits up as you catch some vitamin D from the sun!
With gyms being closed during quarantine, at home workouts are at an all time high. Equipment is sold out just about everywhere online. So you’ve been limited as to what you can and can’t do during your at home workout. When quarantine is over, hit the gym. It’ll let out endorphins and bring your mood up. Working out is great for those with anxiety and depression, and I know my anxiety has been at an all time high being stuck in one place for so long!
Being in quarantine meant not being allowed to see the people who understand you and vibe with you the most, your friends. Once quarantine is over, it’s time to immediately reconnect with the one’s you love the most, friends that turned into family. Plan time to see them and catch up on all the terrible quarantine zoom dates and online school assignments they missed out on!
