Things People With Small Boobs Can Relate To
Having boobs can be annoying. It’s just a hassle sometimes in general, but a lot of times all the hassles and relatable quips are reserved for people who are fuller chested. Surprise, it can be just as annoying to have small boobs as it is to have big boobs. It comes with its own struggles and relatable topics, different than people with big boobs, but still. So, in order to shed some light on the subject here’s a list of things people with small boobs can relate to.
1. Trying to find a bra that fits:
Shopping for bras is probably the most known hassle for women with small boobs. Like, why at some store is the smallest size a C cup? If they do have smaller cup sizes the band sizes are also probably really limited too. Plus, there’s all of the padding. So much padding. In the end, you might decide to just go back to a tried and true store that you’ve found your size at before, or buy from a specialty boutique online. At least you know they’ll have your size and you’ll get a quality bra.
2. Dresses that fit you everywhere except the boob area:
Dress shopping can also be a hassle. It’s even more of a hassle when you find a dress that fits you everywhere except the boob area. Then you get that feeling of “so close yet so far” and have to try on a bunch of other dresses. When you finally find the dress that fits great, or at least as close to great as you’re going to get, you feel an overwhelming sense of relief and you are ready to go and try on something much less simple and taxing like shoes.
3. Still having back pain:
When people with full chests tell you: “At least you don’t have to deal with the back pain or the struggle of having bigger boobs”. Seriously? You can still pull your back out by sleeping wrong or by lifting too heavy weights at the gym just like anyone else. Back pain is not only synonymous with having bigger boobs. It’s the well-needed newsflash that everyone deserves.
4. Trying to find a bathing suit:
Trying to find a bathing suit that fits everywhere is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. You have to buy a small top and then a larger bottom, so most of the time, busty one-pieces are not an option. Then, you spend time trying to match the smaller top with a bottom that at least sort of matches. I mean, you still want to look cute right? It’s just a struggle you don’t need to have while you’re in the middle of a Target getting ready for your supposedly relaxing beach vacation.
5. Cleavage isn’t happening:
No matter the bra, whether it be push up or plunge, you won’t get the cleavage you want for that cute dress, or you won’t get any at all. Sure, your boobs might look “bigger” or more soft and padded, but cleavage just doesn’t like to happen on you, which can sometimes be annoying but other times is a miracle.
6. Not being able to “go braless” like everyone thinks:
As small chested as you are, your boobs are still there. You can’t always just go full-on bra less like a lot of people think you must do. Sure, it’s a little easier and some days you might depending on what you are wearing and how you’re feeling, but it’s not an all the time occurrence. Sometimes it’s actually more of a struggle to go braless with all of the boob tape and uncomfortable nipple coverings. However, you do have the advantage of being able to wear a bandeau under a muscle tee which is an awesome look and saves you a day of an uncomfortable bra, while still being covered and held in there.
7. Strapless tops just don’t work:
Just like there is too much room in some types of dresses, there’s too much room in a strapless top. Whenever you try to wear them you’re left pulling them up for most of the day. If you’re not pulling your top-up, you’re left wondering how long it will stay till you have to and worrying if it will just slip down when you have to reach for something. You soon learn that if you really want to wear a strapless top, you’ve really got to tape yourself in. But, that can also be uncomfortable so, you resolve that strapless tops just arent your look. You look amazing in a million other things anyway.
8. Feeling self-conscious about your smaller chest size:
People with bigger chests feel self-conscious about their chest size too, but having a small chest comes with a special kind of self-consciousness. Maybe it’s people always commenting on how small your chest is or how tiny you are, but there really is a reason many middle school-aged girls go through the phase of feeling like they have to stuff their bra. As a woman, you might feel self-conscious about what a partner might think. There’s also the added pressure and input of society’s emphasis on “slim thick” women and it’s no secret that’s it can be hard to find lingerie that fits your chest well. Just because your boobs are small, doesn’t mean they’re not on your mind.
9. That “aha” moment of finding a bra that fits perfectly:
Whether it’s a bandeau, the best T-shirt bra, or a bralette there’s always that sense of profound relief when you finally, after days of searching, find a bra that fits perfectly. It’s amazing because usually to find the perfect bra, you have to search online forever, check a couple of different department stores and even ask a sales associate if they have smaller sizes. Now, all of that hard work has finally paid off and it’s an amazing feeling!
