Philadelphia’s music scene is never dull! There is something going on for every taste and schedule. If you’re located in or around the Philly area and love music, you are in for a treat. Here are the best concerts coming to Philly this week.

1. Jah People

Jah People will be performing Bob Marley’s ‘Babylon By Bus’ in its entirety at the Milkboy Philadelphia on April 20, 2018. Tickets to this 21+ show can be purchased in advance or the day of the event. They will perform with alternative/dub/rock and Philly-based band Among Criminals and Bethlehem-based roots/rock/reggae band the Hook. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8.

2. Stars

The stars will play at Union Transfer on Friday, April 20, 2018, with Dan Mangan. The show is open to all ages. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30. Stars has partnered with Plus1 to donate $1 for every ticket sold to the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, an organization that helps support indigenous women and their children by giving them a safe, supportive environment.

3. The Philadelphia Orchestra

The Philadelphia Orchestra will perform classics by Prokofiev and Ravel at the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall on Thursday, April 19, 2018, through Saturday, April 21, 2018. They will perform Connesson’s “Flammenschrift,” Prokofiev, “Violin Concerto No. 1,” Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration,” and Ravel’s “La Valse.”

4. Hawthorne Heights

Ohio-based rock band Hawthorne Heights will play at the Foundry at Fillmore Philly on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The will be performing with rock/metal band Sienna Skies, pop/rock/emo band Heavy Things, and emo/spoken word project Hotel Books. The doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8. The show is general admission standing room only.

5. Alec Stewart with Babls and Primitive Heart

Alternative singer and Philly native will play at Bourbon and Branch on Thursday, April 26, 2018. The doors open at 8 and the show kicks off with Babls at 8:30. Primitive Heart follows at 9:30 and Alec Stewart’s set starts at 10:30.
