The Worst Thing Your Favorite Actors Were In

Every actor has to have a worst movie, I mean that is just logical thinking. But sometimes it is hard to think of a single bad movie for certain actors. You might want to think of them as a perfect actor with no bad roles. Well, I assure you, every actor starred in a pile of garbage at some point in their careers. So, we took the time to compile a list of the worst movies that your favorite actors were in.

Jack Black & Gwenyth Paltrow – Shallow Hal

The very first entry on this list Shallow Hal. Jack Black & Gwenyth Paltrow play the main characters, and the entire story is fat-shaming at its worst. Jack Black is hypnotized to only see a woman’s inner beauty and meets Rosemary, played by Gwenyth Paltrow. Rosemary is shown to be a morbidly obese woman, yet Jack Black can only see the beautiful Paltrow. If that is not enough, the movie makes fat joke after joke, and portrays fat people as disgusting, food-obsessed people we should all laugh at. On top of all that, it is pretty boring too.

Chevy Chase – Caddyshack 2

Everyone’s favorite Saturday Night Live original member is well known for many classics including National Lampoon’s Vacation, Three Amigos, and of course Caddyshack. Speaking of that last one, Chevy Chase starred in one of the easiest sequels to forget ever happened, Caddyshack 2. Caddyshack 2 was a PG adaptation of Caddyshack, with Chevy being the only returning actor. Need I say more?

Scarlett Johansson – Home Alone 3

I never realized Scarlett Johannson was in Home Alone 3, and I bet you didn’t know that either. That being said, Home Alone 3 was not inherently a bad movie. But with a new main character other than Macaulay Caulkin, the movie felt like a standard movie with “Home Alone 3” stamped on the cover and sold for a quick buck. Home Alone 3 would have been so much better if it were called anything other than Home Alone 3, but that does not matter anymore.

Will Smith – After Earth

The Fresh Prince has made so many classic movies, that it is easy to forget the 2013 bag of garbage that was After Earth. Starring Will Smith, along with his son Jaden Smith, in a post-apocalyptic world sort of deal directed by M. Night Shamallamallama. I really do not remember much else of this movie, because it drags on for so long with little to nothing happening for most of the time. No humor, no story, no intrigue, and no way to get a refund for enduring this garbage.

Queen Latifah – Taxi

The list does not get any better as we go on, which is evident by this entry. Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon star in the English version of the popular french films. But Christ, does this story have anything of value in it. Queen Latifah was a strong miscast in this role, and still did her very best to pull it off, but was outweighed by the poor script, cheap humor, and Jimmy Fallon.

Keanu Reeves – Generation Um

It is hard to believe that John Wick has been in a bad movie, but sometimes you have to learn hard truths. Keanu Reeves stars in Generation Um, which follows reeves and his two lady friends through their day. That is the entire goddamn movie. Now there is a nerd somewhere who will argue that this movie has a deeper meaning of loneliness, and how we cope. That person is full of crap because this movie is just one long film reel of nothingness, Reeves must have owed someone a favor to star in this.

John Cena – Fred The Movie

I know John Cena might not have enough work in some people’s eyes, but like it or not, John Cena counts as far as we here at Society19 are concerned. If that makes you mad, then you may find solace in the fact that John Cena has one unignorable blemish on his filmography… Fred The Movie. Remember that high pitched voice having weirdo from the early days of YouTube? Well, John Cena is his dad in the movie. He doesn’t even play a character, he is just John Cena. Obviously, this movie was for the little ones, but Cena will always have that on his filmography Wikipedia page.

Hugh Jackman & Kate Winslett (And Many Others) – Movie 43

Our last entry can be considered the worst movie for over a dozen of your favorite actors. Movie 43 is the story of a man, pitching unbelievably horrible movie ideas to a Hollywood producer. We see each pitch acted out by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, usually being some toilet humor, an obviously-bad story idea that is a wonder it was ever made. When you watch it, you can tell the movie was never meant to be the next Pulp Fiction, and was probably made to be as bad as it is. Still, it can be counted as the worst movie for Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslett, Halle Berry, Leslie Bibb, Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, Terrence Howard, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Long, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Grace Moretz, Liev Schrieber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, Chris Pratt, and literally even more but I do not care to write any more celebrity names tonight. The point is, if you want to watch a pile of crap that plenty of A list celebrities said yes to, check this one out ASAP!

The worst movie for every actor is hard for them to look back on, but do not feel bad for them. At least when they get to look back on their cringe-inducing past, they got paid for all of it. So I guess the moral of the story is almost every gig is good publicity for an actor… but I still probably would’ve passed on Caddyshack 2. Did I forget a great actor’s worst movie?
