The Ultimate Bucket List For University Of Arkansas Students

What’s up my fellow Razorbacks?! Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend that doesn’t involve a campus sponsored activity? Well, you have come to the right place. Keep reading to find the ultimate bucket list for students at the University of Arkansas.

Catch a classic at 112 Drive-In

The only one of its kind around these parts; a drive-in movie is a truly unforgettable experience. I love grabbing food before heading in and then snuggling up in the back of a friend’s car to watch whatever feature they may be playing. So great that it’s close enough to the University of Arkansas.

Feel like a kid again at Arkadia Retrocade

All the vintage arcade games you can imagine… plus it’s only $5 to get in and play all day. You can even leave, go get food and come back as long as you make nice with the manager. A serious hidden gem here in Fayetteville, but don’t just take my word for it, go check it out!

Experience some history firsthand in the Clinton House Museum

Bill and Hillary’s first home is located just 2 minutes walking distance from the University of Arkansas. A guided tour is offered for a small fee and is packed with lots of cool memorabilia from the couple’s early days. They’re closed on Wednesdays so make sure you check their hours before getting ready to soak up all the history found inside these four walls.

Walk around the NWA Farmers Market

A super fun activity if you are awake early enough on Saturday mornings, prime time is around 9:30. There is usually some live music to enjoy and booths set up selling anything from homemade goods to flowers to veggies. A Fayetteville staple conveniently located right on the square.

Go bar hopping on Dickson Street

The place to be if you are of legal drinking age, the bar possibilities are truly endless. Go enjoy a night out on the town!

Relax on the balcony of Fayetteville Public Library

…And maybe read a book or two. I promise it’s good for the soul (and the brain). This library has a great selection and a great view. Definitely worth checking out.

Appreciate local artists at Fayetteville Underground

An art gallery designed to support local artists and provide entertainment for the neighboring areas. There is even a children’s exhibit featured this month so be sure to go check it out!

Show off your mini golfing skills at Gater Golf

Come on, who doesn’t love a great game of mini golf? Complete with all the animal statues and super fun putt putt courses, this place should be at the top of your list. Disclaimer: they’re only open during the warmer months.

Catch a Concert at George’s

Your inner hipster will thank you afterward. This place is known for its convenient location and amazing shows. From Hippo Campus to Judah and the Lion to the occasional country artist, this place will satisfy any music lover.

Be active at Lake Fayetteville

Swim. Bike. Run. Stroll. Boat. Stand up paddleboard. Kayak. Hike. You name it, they got it.

Bowl your heart out at Ozark Lanes

Grab a few friends and go show off your bowling skills. You can totally make your own fun with this one by not sticking to the traditional bowling form. Good luck!

Try not to wipe out at Starlight Skatium

Rollerskating is an all-time favorite past time of so many, make it yours. Just be sure to wear some butt padding if you know you are more on the clumsy side.

Hammock in the heart of Wilson Park

Watch out for this place to be super crowded as soon as the weather gets nice enough to be outside without shivering. It has great trails for dog walking, fields for frisbee or playing catch, a sand volleyball court, basketball and tennis courts, a pool, playgrounds, and some hammock poles that come in really handy this time of year.

Try all the local ice cream shops around town and decide which one is the best

Just a few to try are Burton’s Creamery (they now have an actual storefront instead of just the food truck), Kream, Andy’s Custard, Smudgies, or Shake. The possibilities are truly endless so why not make Sunday sugar rush a thing.
