After Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday and for a few reasons. You get to dress up as whoever and whatever you want, have an excuse to throw on a copious amount of makeup on for no reason, and if you can, get free candy. Oh, and I almost forgot. The fun-themed parties! Every now and then, I end up attending one and leaving with no regrets, just a whole bunch of great memories with friends and of costumes I never once thought I’d see before. Not to mention the food, drinks, and decorations. Whether you’ve thrown a Halloween party already or not, get inspired by some of these cool ideas! Some may be spookier than others, but all of them are great for the holiday season.
They’re strangely intriguing yet spooky at the same time. No matter what theme you’re going for, adding these spiderweb placemats to your party for decoration will leave your crowd pleased with your design skills. Set the table with them and use clear plates on top so that your guests will notice the placemats off the bat. If you’re someone who enjoys making your own decorations, these are surprisingly easy to make. Check out how by clicking here.

Setting the Halloween mood is easy when you have a fog machine involved. Fog machines are great because they’re easy to use, will entertain your guests by setting an atmosphere fit for Halloween, and well, they just make everything look really freaking cool and official. The fog is unscented, long-lasting, and guaranteed to make an impression at your party due to the chilling ambiance it will most likely create. (Be wary of setting off a fire alarm though.)

What’s a party without music, right? Keep in mind that you’re throwing a Halloween party, so it would be spooky (in the best way possible) if you played some mysterious and suspenseful music to go along with the vibes and overall mood. Depending on what your theme is, you can play your music accordingly. For example, if you’re having a Stranger Things themed party, play the soundtrack for that. If you want to keep it casual, a great soundtrack to play would be the one for The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Imagine casually using the restroom for a moment only to get spooked out from seeing a bloody shower curtain. Yikes. It’s easy to make one yourself by buying some fake blood or red spray paint and a white shower curtain, but if you’re running out of time, you can let Amazon do all the work and order one already made off of there. Either way, it will definitely give your guests a little spook.

If you’re willing to go above and beyond for your Halloween party, then take a look at this idea. Yes, everything on this list so far has been relatively cheap…until now. I know there’s a lot of people out there that genuinely enjoying putting a lot of effort into their decorations and planning parties, so why not list an animatronic Pennywise from It decoration? The size (6’5″) is pretty realistic too, which only adds to the overall spookiness of the prop. It’s sensor-activated (so be careful walking past), includes two balloons, and says a couple of Pennywise’s most famous lines from the film. Perfect for Halloween! Bad if you have a guest who is afraid of clowns.

I’d classify zombies as pretty spooky, wouldn’t you? This Amazon decoration kit combines both haunted house vibes with zombie decor. You can tweak it how you want it with the light of the room you put it in too. If you put it in your bathroom, change the bulb to a dark red or black to really set the Halloween mood. It might end up being spookier than intended but hey, gotta go big or go home for this occasion.

They’re not necessarily spooky but they’re certainly cute. These black haunted house candle (flameless for safety) holders make for a great Halloween party decoration for those who are throwing a casual themed one. No specific movie or T.V. show to go off of, just a classic Halloween party. They come in three different sizes! Small, medium, and large.

There are holes on the netting of this black cloth, making for the perfect setup for tiny plastic spiders. If you do that, you’re taking it to the next level. This black cloth can pretty much be hung anywhere. In a doorway, by the stairs, on the windows, the choices are endless. Regardless of where you hang it up, it will add a spooky touch to your party. It’s pretty big in size too, about 8.3 yards in length and 79 inches in width.

Alright, this one is pretty spooky. It’s basically just a corpse hanging in a cocoon but it looks pretty realistic if you ask me. It’s 72 inches in length and hangs upside down, making for a sneaky surprise on the other side of the door if that’s how you decide to hang it up. Wherever you do, be prepared to hear a scream or two from your guests depending on where.

You can stretch this stuff over anything to complete your desired spooky Halloween look. You can hang it over a porch, some chairs, on your windows, and even on the ceiling. There are really no rules or limits when it comes to decorations like this. Depending on where you hang it, however, you might have to tell your guests to be careful so that they don’t walk into it or anything of that sort.
