The Most Notorious Karen Videos, & Where They Are Now..
Karen is a term you have probably heard thrown around a lot in the past year, and if you are not familiar, you came to the right place. I subscribe to the belief of the superiority of visual learning, and as such, I would much rather show you what a Karen is, instead of explaining it. So, join us as we go back to some of the most notorious Karen videos, and where they are now!
Amy Cooper
Beginning with one of the most viewed Karen cases, our first Karen is Amy Cooper. Christian Cooper was walking in Central Park bird-watching when he asked Amy to put her dog on a leash. It is important to know that they are not related, after an argument occurred, she approached the man frantically, and after pulling out her phone, she said “I’m going to tell them that an African-American man is threatening my life.” After this pretty blatant racism, she made a panicked 911 call, and they both left the scene. Afterward, she was both charged for falsifying a police report, as well as fired from her job. No one has seen or heard from Cooper since, and that is for the best.
Jennifer Schulte
BBQ Becky was one of the first Karen videos I remember. Jennifer Schulte decided to call the police on a group of black people who were having a barbecue at Oakland Park. If you have seen the entire video, including the entire wait for the cops to show up, then you know just how crazy Jennifer seems. She would not leave this group alone, and once the tables were turned and the focus was on her, she plain just did not like it. She has never publicly commented on the video, but after a little research, you can see she was actually an environmental scientist from Stanford University. Also, a Milwaukee lawmaker proposed a “BBQ Becky Bill” which would punish frivolous 911 callers.
Lisa Alexander
In my opinion, Lisa Alexander wins the creepiest Karen. James Juanillo was spray painting “Black Lives Matter” on his property when Lisa approached him and told him that she knew the property owner. If you watch the video, her entire stance and the way she talks just exudes a dark ugliness. She actually decided to talk publicly and had a semi-sincere apology, but it still does not excuse it. Lisa is the CEO of LaFace Skincare, who has an F rating by the BBB in 2020. Her only real major distributor, Birchbox, cut ties with her. Maybe she can take all that makeup and try to fix the ugliness on her insides.
Christopher Cukor
Listen, I believe that Karens can come in all genders, and an example of a male Karen is none other than Christopher Cukor. A black man was waiting at the door of an apartment building when Chris and his young son walked by. Chris demanded that the guy buzz the number of whoever he was waiting for, and when he did not get his way, he cried and called the cops. Not much happened physically, but the reaction online was nuclear. To make matters worse, the entire time his son is crying, begging his father to leave. It turns out Cukor works for YouTube, and as far as the public knows, unfortunately still works there today.
Stacey Talbert
McMuffin Cop is the name given to Stacey Talbert, the only Officer Karen that has made this list. Basically, Stacey went viral after a video of her crying over a messed up McDonald’s order made her think her food was being purposely tampered with. Now listen, she does have somewhat of a point, because there is truth to the fact that cops are always needing to look over their shoulder. I just do not think a McDonald’s McMuffin was the best way to get that point across. Many people online said that anyone who is that emotional over a sandwich should not have a gun, but Talbert seemed to have a good sense of humor about it. She thought the entire situation was funny and defended the point she was trying to make.
Ciara Miller
Ciara Miller is the worst type of Karen because she was angry at a dog…
A service dog more specifically, who was in a restaurant she was eating in. She threw a temper tantrum at how disgusting it was to have a dog in a restaurant and literally screamed like a child. After a very heated back and forth, she left the establishment without further issue. To make matters worse, she went on Inside Edition and doubled down on how she acted. She also tried to play the race card, but just think about it logically. If they were racist towards her, and that is what she was upset with, why was her entire temper tantrum aimed at the dog? Just some food for thought, but anyone who screams at a dog is an enemy to me.
Caron Jones
Caron Jones, real name no gimmicks, proved that you can be a Karen from the comfort of your living room. Karen posted a lengthy Facebook post against Black Lives Matter, and said ““All Lives Matter and BLM is just a political trick to upset a group of people to riot and terrorize!” “I love black people but not their culture of crime, abuse, drugs, gangs, and it is time for them to take responsibility for building a life vs taking every community down!” She was fired due to the post, and I am sure she has issues finding anywhere that will hire her nowadays.
Now class, Karen as you see can take several forms, of any gender, race, or political background. A way to ensure to never be considered a Karen is to simply mind your own business.
