The Most Expensive Funko Pops You Will Never Own

Funko Pops have been around for nearly 10 years, constantly announcing new collaborations with almost anyone. Music, movies, sports, television, and so much more. The sheer amount of Pops available is enough to make any collector empty their wallets. But there are some rare Pops which rack up insane resell values, so we decided to make it a list. Here’s our countdown of the 10 most expensive Funko Pops you will never own!

Important Note For Funko Novices

It is important to know that Freddy Funko is the official mascot of the Funko brand. Funko will release many different pops of their mascot dressed as popular characters. There isn’t a limit to the characters which can become Freddy. Hulk Hogan to cereal icons, there are hundreds of different ones you can find. Also, for some unknown reason, collectors absolutely love cereal character pops. I can’t explain why so just know they do.

Dumbo (Clown) – $5840

What better way to start this list than with everyone’s favorite cartoon elephant Dumbo. There are several variations of Dumbo, but one specifically will cost you about $6000 to add it to your collection. The Dumbo with clown makeup was released in 2013 at San Diego Comic-Con. Only 48 exist, so good luck finding one.

Freddy Funko Buzz Lightyear Glow Chase –  $6340

Our number nine spot goes to the superhero that defined a generation. Released in 2011 at San Diego Comic-Con (get used to seeing San Diego Comic-Con releases on this list) the Freddy Funko Buzz Lightyear pop had an extremely limited run of just 12 figures. That’s 12 total, so tracking one down and adding it to your collection will be next to impossible unless you have a load of time and resources.

Boo Berry Glow Chase – $6740

I told you cereal characters are popular, and I still don’t know why. The General Mills cereal characters are the most sought after cereal Pops, more specifically the chase variants from 2011. All 3 of the main mascots in their chase forms will cost you a hefty amount, but two specifically are part of the most expensive pops of all time. The first one on this list is Boo Berry which will cost you over $6500 to secure. As high as this seems, there is one more General Mills cereal Pop which costs more…

Franken Berry Glow Chase – $7200

The Franken Berry metallic chase takes the prize of being the most expensive cereal character Pop. As of writing this, you cannot get this Pop for less than $7200. You might feel bad for Count Chocula for not making the list, but don’t lose hope yet, we still have an entire list of surprises… (this is me foreshadowing)

Freddy Funko Venom – $7920

This item is a slap in the face for someone like me who has the entirety of the “Venom” collection. Released in the Funko Tiki Mystery box, you received 3 random Freddy Funkos with a chance of receiving a Venom! Only 24 of these pops were made and will run you nearly $8,000! Better hurry though, there is a guy on Instagram who is attempting to purchase every Freddy Venom for himself and he already has over half of them!

Superhero Stan Lee Red Metallic – $8780

The only real person on our list could not have been a more deserving person of such a high priced figure. This Metallic Stan Lee in red superhero costume was sold exclusively at La Comic-Con to only a few lucky collectors. In fact, it’s so rare that I couldn’t find out how many exist or much else on the Pop. So if you find one, make sure to share some info with the rest of us!

Freddy Funko Count Chocula Glow Chase – $10000

I told you not to feel bad for Count Chocula because here he is. The second most expensive Freddy Funko you can own is the Freddy Count Chocula Glow in the Dark chase. Also released in 2011 at San Diego Comic-Con, this pop became the most popular of all cereal pops. Count Chocula, at least in my opinion, was the most popular of any of the cereals. Also, as opposed to the other two, this one looks significantly different from the real Count Chocula due to the glow in the dark material used giving him a white color. These could be the reasons why collectors will shell out 10 grand for a Count in good condition.

Freddy Funko Jaime Lannister Bloody – $12070

The most expensive Freddy Funko as of writing this article is the bloody Freddy Jaime Lannister. Released back in 2013 at San Diego Comic-Con, 96 regular Freddy Lannister Pops, and only 12 bloody versions were made available for sale, the latter of which will cost you over $12,000. I just wonder if the final season made the price go down.

Clockwork Orange Glow Chase – $13300

Every other Pop on this list was officially released in some capacity, but this item is unique because it was never actually on sale. Funko made 24 of these Clockwork Orange pops, 12 commons & 12 glow in the dark chases. However, due to licensing reasons, they were unable to make them for public release. From there, all 24 were believed to be sent to long time fans and given to employees. While the common version is also worth a pretty penny, the glow in the dark variant is one of the most expensive pops ever at $13,300!

The Golden Ticket 2-Pack – $14,999 (hypothetically)

This pop is the rarest one you can get as of the writing of this article. With only 10 in existence, this 2-pack was given to a hand full of lucky collectors that attended Funko Fundays 2016. Fundays is an exclusive fan event for Funko fanatics at the Funko headquarters, and the theme of the 2016 event was coincidentally Willy Wonka. During the event, they had a raffle that gave only 4 lucky people the 2-pack. It is believed the other 6 were given to employees. As far as my research has led me, there has never been a sale of this pop, but there was one up for $14,999.99.

That was our countdown of the most expensive Funko Pops you will never own. Did you guess that this list would be over $75,000 when all combined? Let me know if these prices shock you, or if you know of any that sold for more in the comments below!
