The Meaning Of St. Patrick’s Day In 2019
The meaning of St. Patrick’s Day lost its value a long time ago I think. Nowadays, all people care about is wearing green and getting drunk in the street. This day to people is where it is acceptable to get pissy drunk and do whatever their body feels tells them to do. You are granted to a world of entertainment on this day. People have lost their everlasting minds when it comes to St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day 2019 will be no different from 2018, 2017 or 2000. There will be a great big parade downtown with everyone dressed in green. The city will gather around to watch and comment on how the horses in the parade are leaving large trails of feces on the street. All the bars will be filled with those who choose to get off work early to get drunk quicker.
Corn beef will be on sale at the local restaurant and everyone would by now have had a sandwich or two. Families are seen walking the streets in matching outfits and hats as their babies cry from the noise. Sadly, if you look at the parents, they probably wish they left the kids with grandma and grandpa so they could enjoy themselves like those around them. If I am not mistaken, there’s usually a football game taking place this day. Expect more rowdiness than what the parade brought.

The meaning of St. Patrick’s Day is supposed to be a religious and joyous one! I mean, yes, everyone is joyous on this day, but, I don’t think to flash your boob’s ladies to get beads is very religious. This day is to celebrate a bishop who brought Christianity to Ireland. Nothing but saints and religion in that meaning, but hey, that’s none of my business. The national holiday has changed so much during the years; it has taken on a life of its own.

St. Patrick’s Day in 2019 will be “lit” just like any other year before it. I think maybe this year it is going to be extra special being that most people on earth couldn’t wait for the year 2019. It seems that this is the year that everyone is going to get what they worked so hard in 2018 or before that. So please, go off! I am not here to judge. I am here to watch and laugh as people have fun and make a complete fool of themselves. That is my entertainment this year for St. Patrick’s Day. Will I partake in a drink? Maybe. It depends on how bad the bartenders are watering down the liquor that day.

If you think about it, how many Americans actually celebrate the real meaning of St. Patrick’s Day? I swear, on this day, everyone and their mother is Irish and it is okay! No one cares either. Everyone in the city just came to have more than a few drinks and have fun.
Do you want to know the real beauty of this day? On St. Patrick’s Day, everyone of all race and colors are enjoying their time with one another. It is absolutely beautiful. No one cares if you have Irish lineage or not, if you are wearing green or if you don’t have money to drink. Besides Christmas and Thanksgiving, people aren’t too afraid of giving this day and that is the real meaning of St. Patrick’s Day.

I've been a writer all my life! A good one I must add. Not to be cocky, but I cannot think of anything else to do with my life besides writing. I love to write about what I know along with what I find most interesting about life. I run a BLOG about my journey of leaving home and driving across country to Los Angeles (you're gonna want to read it, it's pretty funny). My dreams are to become an author and to freelance write where ever I can. I can envision myself, interviewing those I admire the most in their careers. That can mean a wide range of people from celebrities to struggle artist on the street. It doesn't matter. As long as you inspire me, to aspire you. Then, I'm good.
