The Healthy Snacks You Need For College
Looking for some healthy snacks this upcoming fall semester? Look no further, I have six easy and yummy snacks you just won’t be able to get enough of. Yet they’ll be health conscious so you can chow down and stay on track with your health goals. You won’t have to worry about all those crazy ingredients that can be toxic for your body because these snacks are perfect for those that love eating clean ingredients.
1. Hippeas: Organic Chickpea Puffs
One of my new favorite snacks you can find in any health-conscious grocery store or even the regular grocery store in the health food section. Many of those gluten free snacks you find can actually be relatively unhealthy. However, these Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs are so yummy, I swear you’ll be addicted, not to mention the ingredients aren’t crazy bad for you either. You can enjoy your health journey while eating an irresistible crunchy snack.
2. Lundberg Rice Cakes
Another one of my personal favorite snacks that you can literally pair with anything or use in place of bread. I love to make avocado toast out of these cakes, dip them in some hummus, make an open sandwich or eat them plain! You really can’t go wrong especially when you’re craving something crunchy. The Lundberg rice cakes you can find in the health food section as they are gluten free and without any of those nasty ingredients.
3. Made Good snacks
Made Good has granola bars and granola minis which can be great snacks made with simple ingredients. When you’re on the go or looking for something a little sweeter these can be the perfect way to get your sweet tooth fill. My favorite are the chocolate and banana granola minis! You can find these great snacks in any grocery store next to all of the granola bars. I guarantee you won’t want to miss out on these yummy snacks.
4. Hummus Etc.
I’m talking hummus and carrots, hummus and pretzels, hummus and rice cakes! You can pair anything with a good hummus dip. It’s not only delicious but can be very healthy compared to guacamole due to having half the amount of fat and calories. But never mind that, hummus goes great with a lot of snacks and can pair nicely with a sandwich. No matter what, you should have your favorite hummus stocked up in the fridge for any lunch, dinner, appetizer or after drinking event.
5. Sliced Apples And Bananas With Peanut Butter
Sliced apples or banana and peanut butter is the perfect breakfast treat or snack throughout the day. It can fix up that sweet tooth nicely after any meal and will fill you up so you aren’t searching for more snacks afterwards. Get out your favorite peanut butter, slice up some apples or bananas and try out this casual but delicious treat. I love cutting up my banana and making little sandwiches out of the rounds with some peanut butter while also adding a couple chocolate morsels for a bit more sweetness.
6. Granola And Fage Yogurt
You can make this a great breakfast or snack! I love using Kind granola my favorite is the chocolate granola because of my sweet tooth. The Kind Dark Chocolate granola is healthy and paired with some protein filled Fage yogurt will become the perfect dessert. I always get zero percent Fage because it has the most protein and less fat so you can get the protein and sweet granola all in one. It’s delicious and can be great as a dessert, breakfast, or snack. Either way you’ll be wanting more from this healthy snack!
I hope you get to enjoy some of these healthy snacks! What are your favorite healthy snacks that are easily delicious and simple to make?
