The Greatest Essential Oils For Hair Growth You Must Try

Can we give stress an AMEN in 2020! It has been a crazy year for sure and I bet the last thing on your mind was your hair… until now. If your hair is not doing so hot, grab these essential oils so that your hair will grow longer than ever expected!

1. Peppermint oil

Yes, Peppermint oil. You read it correctly. Not the first thing you thought of I’m sure when it comes to essential oils to help grow your hair out, but it sure does the trick! When you apply peppermint oil to the scalp you may feel a cold, tingly feeling but that’s when you know it’s working! That means that your hair is starting to increase the number of follicles! Before you know it, you will have a beautiful mane of hair.

2. Lavender

Now lavender essential oils are going to be for my stressed out girlies! We are talking about really stressed out. Using Lavender will help create and promote the growth of new cells, meaning more hair. It will also help reduce any stress that is inside you as it seeps deep into your hair follicles. Don’t you worry about an unhealthy scalp either, lavender has that covered too!

3. Coconut oil

Using Coconut Oil is what we call, a keeper. It contains fatty acids that help soak into the hair follicles leaving your hair feeling healthy and also looking very shiny. This oil contains minerals and vitamins that are great for healthy hair growth.

Coconut oil can be used as a conditioner as well. You can leave it in as little as 10-15 minutes or for a couple of hours if you would like a deep condition. It’s great for all hair types but especially if your hair is dry and frizzy. We can bet that the next time you see some of your closest friends, they will be asking why your hair looks nothing but amazing.

4. Argan Oil

Essential oils really can make a huge difference and when it comes to being a game-changer. One of the best is Argan Oils. It helps with repairing those damaged ends that you have from blow-drying, straightening, and what else you may do to it, by moisturizing deep within the hair follicle. Argan oil has the ability to protect hair from heat damage and ultraviolet rays too! This is the perfect oil for you if you have dry, coarse hair! See you later damage! Hello, beautiful, healthy hair!

5. Jojoba Oil

Are you having an issue with dry scalp, damaged, and sad looking hair? Essential oils, such as Jojoba will help you with that! This oil goes deep into the hair shaft to create just enough moisture. Your hair will grow faster because your scalp will heal faster, especially if you have dandruff. It fights against it and ultimately protects your hair in the long run.

6. Cedarwood

This oil is all about making sure that scalp of yours is very healthy so that your hair can grow strong and long. Who doesn’t want to look like Repundzal? Why is it so magical? It balances your oil production on your scalp so that you aren’t producing too much or too little. It also helps with circulation so that your scalp doesn’t get dry and flaky!

Cedarwood is also amazing when you go to bed. Essential oils are known for having many benefits and one of them being that it helps with your sleep. If you have trouble sleeping, try cedarwood oil to calm the mind. You won’t only be able to go to sleep faster, you will reduce the anxiety and stress you have during the day. By getting a good night’s sleep, you are promoting hair growth. Without our precious sleep, our hair cells can’t turn over to promote new ones and with more stress during the day, more hair is lost due to it.

7. Rosemary

Have you ever heard of essential oils helping with dilating your blood vessels and promoting cell turn over for faster hair growth?! We hadn’t either until we learned more about Rosemary oil.  This oil makes sure that the scalp is getting enough oxygen and nutrients for the hair follicles to grow! If you are looking to thicken the hair while having a dry free scalp, you’re in luck!

Rosemary is also really great at making sure you don’t get those premature grays that can pop up sometimes. The reason your hair tends to premature faster for some is that it lacks nutrients within the hair follicle. Rosemary is by far one of our favorites for this reason!

8. Bergamot

If you like to style your hair on the daily, you are probably building up a lot of product that leaves your hair feeling “clouded”. Essential oils such as, Bergamot will clear your hair of serums, chemicals, dirt, dandruff, and anything else that sticks to your hair follicles.

Why is this important to use? Well, because if you don’t clear away the excess dirt that sits on your follicles, you won’t promote the growth that needs to happen for your hair. You will be stuck with unhealthy hair, that in the long run will make your hair suffer and most likely will break off.

Bergamot, it has natural bacteria that will help your scalp stay cleaner for way longer. Once you use this, your hair will grow faster than ever before and you will have less split ends since the damage will be microscopic.

9. Tea tree oil

Remember that breakout you got on your forehead? You searched the web to find out what was the best way to cure it. I’m sure one of the suggestions was some essential oils to use. One that was probably recommended was Tea Tree Oil.

Well, now you can go take it out of your beauty cabinet and put it on your hair also! Tea tree oil is what they call a powerful cleaner for the scalp. By using this, the scum that sits on the scalp will be diminished almost instantly, and the health of your hair will be restored. It also fights any viruses or bacteria that sit on top of the scalp. Squeaky clean here we come.

10. Lemongrass

Salons are always telling us that it’s best to not wash our hair every day. This is great advice, but for those who hate the feeling of gross, greasy hair, it doesn’t help so much. With Lemongrass your life can be changed in an instant.

Lemongrass oil is one of the best essential oils to use when it comes to having clean hair but without using the shampoos that dry out the hair. When taking a shower, put a few drops into your hair and scalp. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wash it out with some cold water, and boom! You’re good to go. Clean hair that didn’t need the shampoo. Bonus point! You will have stronger hair follicles and no more dandruff.
