The Gay Daily Skin Care Routine is something that I have created with a mix of products that I use, personally, I don’t see a difference between men’s and women’s skincare, so I have incorporated both types of items in my own, I use all of these items every day usually in my evening routine since I don’t have much of a routine for the morning.
The first thing I always start with after getting out of the shower is cleaning my face with a facial cleanser my favorite facial cleanser and the leading and results is the La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser. I am simply in love with this cleanser, it has Niacinamide and Ceramide 3 in it which are great for keeping your face moisturized and cleansed. From using this I have seen significant results in less acne on my face and my face not being as oily as it normally is. With this cleanser I tried to stop using it for a week and completely broke out within that week of not using it, this is something that I highly recommend. Another cleanser that I use on a daily basis is the Youth to The People’s Superfood Cleanser, this is made with green tea and spinach, and vitamins, it is going to give you a very deep clean and help you prevent buildup in your pores, it is great for removing oils that are harmful to your skin as well as leaving your skin extremely soft after using. this is definitely something that I recommend, and you’re able to pretty much only find this at Sephora. This is a must in your Skin care routine.
Youth to The People Cleanser La Roche Posay WashAfter this I use my Toner, which is made by CosRX, this is my ultimate favorite toner that I got from Ulta Beauty, this toner is extremely hydrating since it is made with hyaluronic acid, and hyaluronic acid is extremely hydrating for your face and is very good at removing all of the dirt and grime that is stuck in your pores after cleansing. I always use this in my Skin Care routine because i love this product so much.
I next want to move into my favorite part of my Skin Care routine which is my eye serums, depending on the day I use different serums the most critical one that I use is from Laniege it is amazing when you put the eye mask underneath your eyes with the glass ball that it comes with because it is extremely hydrating and deep huffs your eyes completely. Barbra Strum’s Anti-Aging Eye Cream is up next, now this is something that comes with a heavier price tag, but the results are astonishing, Doctor Barbara Strum is best known for her skincare, and although it is not affordable it is packed with results this is something that I try to use every night so that my eyes stay firm and plumped.
eye maskFollowing the eye serums, This part of my Skin Care routine can get a little sticky. I then move into the Drunk Elephant Facial Oil, The Virgin Marula Facial Oil is made with Marula seed oil which moisturizes and nourishes which leads to rejuvenating skin and an extremely youthful look, I use this every night along with the eye serums so that my face always has a youthful glow to it. I really love this facial oil mainly because it is very plain smelling and strays away from all of the fragrance oils that are in normal face serums. one thing about this is that it is very oily, so I try and wash my hands after using it so that I am not all oily.
Drunk ElephantWhen it comes to facial moisturizers, I definitely have a large amount of them, these are so important because moisturizing the skin helps you reduce problems in your skin, if you’re using moisturizers every day this really can help you minimize having your skin really dry or the alternative of being really oily. When your skin is oily it can make you prone to acne and blackheads, while if your skin is too dry it can leave your skin looking flaky and itchy so moisturizing every morning and night is something that can keep your face healthy and looking good. I highly recommend having one in your Skin Care routine the most commonly used moisturizer in my cabinet Is the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, this literally feels like you’re rubbing whipped cream on your face because it is extremely nourishing and helps your skin stay very hydrated, I have more dry skin so this is perfect for my skin type, I don’t leave the house without this moisturizer since I have it in the travel size and the full size this is definitely not a cheap moisturizer but quality over quantity is something that I always say. Next, I use the La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream, this is something that I do not use every day since it is honestly probably the most expensive moisturizer on the market I was given this as a gift by my grandmother, who is a skincare guru, this moisturizer is extremely rich and nutrients and is made with what La Mer says is “miracle broth” this is definitely something you do not have to have but is something to own and not use all of, it has a very luxurious feeling and makes me want to put it on every day. The last moisturizer that I highly recommend in my routine would be the Byoma Moisturizing Rich Cream, out of all of the moisturizers that I have talked about this is definitely the most affordable since it is found at Target. I really love this because it is made with a sustainable refillable system, really hydrates, and has a very thick and creamy texture. This is something that my dermatologist recommended to me to use on a daily basis since it is really good for your skin and it helps restore the barrier that is needed to prevent your skin from the sun as well, this is something that I would recommend using more of in the morning since it does have sun protection in it.
The gay daily skincare routine is something that I love and use every single day no matter if you are a guy or a girl this is something that can help you, mainly if you are someone who is acne-prone and has dry skin.
