The Definitive Ranking Of The Fall Starbucks Specialty Drinks

It is about that time ladies and gents! We will finally get our favorite fall Starbucks specialty drinks back in our hands. Everyone has their favorite fall beverage, maybe the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, or something a little less “classic”. Here is the definitive ranking of the fall Starbucks specialty drinks as told by me.

5. Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte

So the lowest ranking fall Starbucks specialty drink on this list is the Pumpkin Spice chai latte. I think the drink was a great idea, and for some it is the best of these fall drinks. But in this ranking, it’s the lowest.

The drink has a lot going on, between the complexity of pumpkin spice and of chai it’s just so much for my taste buds to try and process.

Maybe that makes it more fall than any other fall Starbucks specialty drink, the amount of stuff happening all at once. With Halloween, classes, Thanksgiving, and clock changes, maybe this drink is exactly what fall tastes like.

4. Pumpkin Spice Latte

I know this may be an unpopular opinion, to have the classic fall Starbucks specialty drink so low in the rankings. But this drink is just as infamous as it is renowned.

I think that, while a classic drink, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is just a lot of stuff. Not nearly as much as it’s counterpart, the Punpkin Spice Chai Latte, but still it is a lot of stuff.

And just so we can keep this list a little bit concise, just know that all Pumpkin Spice related drinks will be placed here.

3. Salted Caramel Frappuccino

Now that we’ve gotten past the minefield of pumpkin spice drinks, I bring you the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino.

This fall Starbucks specialty drink is good enough to make my top 3 but not my top 2. The thing that keeps this drink out of my top two is actually two things.

The first thing, could drinks in the fall is a slippery slope and I don’t condone it. The second thing is, frappuccinos are almost never my favorite drink without some kind of tweaking.

That being said, adding an extra shot of espresso to this drink brings out the coffee flavor, balancing the sweetness, and that could put this drink in my top two, maybe.

2. Maple Pecan Latte

You all may not agree with me completely on this one either, but hear me put please.

The sweet nutty flavors that make up the Maple Pecan Latte are nearly unmatched by other fall Starbucks specialty drinks, nearly, we’ll get to the only thing that can beat it next but for now we’ll talk about this one.

This flavor is pecan pie and maple syrup pancakes at the same time, plus a cup of coffee. One cannot just tell me that doesn’t sound like a dream you’ve had. This amazing flavor profile has earned it’s rightful spot as number two in this ranking.

1. Salted Caramel Mocha Latte

The number one fall Starbucks specialty drink in this ranking is the salted caramel mocha latte. This drink is the pinnacle of autumn vibes.

Salted Caramel is an amazing and timeless flavor that has been enjoyed by so many people since the dawn of time (probably, I’m just guessing). Take that one step further and you’ve got salted caramel hot coco, that drink itself could have topped this list if I’m being honest with you.

But, Starbucks did not stop there, they took it one step further and added the amazing taste of coffee to this drink and it just catapulted the Salted Caramel Mocha Latte to the front of this list of fall Starbucks specialty drinks.
