Lately, I’ve been struggling to get used to this new semester from moving into my first apartment to getting into my new major. There have been a lot of changes in my life in the course of just a few months and like most people, I find a lot of solace in music. Even though country music may be an acquired taste for most people, I love country music because of the eloquent lyrics that 99.9% of the time are easy to relate to. This song will help you get through all the angst that comes with breakups or just dealing with boys as a college girl in general. This song is for all my ladies in love. I think this is one of the most romantic songs ever. I feel these lyrics every time I find myself catching the feels. Honestly, whoever Brett Eldredge sings this song about is one very lucky woman because of the romance behind this song. Now this is a fun one. If you just feel like dancing around in your room or jamming really loud in the car with the windows down as often as I do then this is the jam for you. “Shake it to the moon, shake it for me girl. Aw, country girl, shake it for me”

This is another fun dance song. I absolutely love Thomas Rhett and this song gets me up and dancing every time. One of my favorite college memories so far is shaking it to this song during the Thomas Rhett concert with my sorority sisters. “Now people on the left. Shake your south side.”

I use this song as a way of coping with my past abusive relationships and to remind myself that I’m a strong and independent woman who can’t be pushed down by any “man”. “If he wants a fight, well, now he’s got one.
