The Coolest Eyeshadow Trends That Everyone Will Be Wearing
I believe that all women are pretty without makeup and can be pretty powerful with the right makeup. – Bobbi Brown
If you’re a makeup lover, then you’re probably curious to what all of the makeup trends are right now, especially with the eyes. If you have read any of my makeup articles, then you are fully aware that I do not wear makeup. Truthfully, I just don’t have the patience to sit down and do my makeup perfectly every single day or just when I single handedly need too. I was never taught how to put eyeliner on or how to pick out the right shade of lipstick that goes well with my lips and face. But I know that I’m not the only one out there who was never taught the fundamental rules of makeup… and that’s okay. Makeup alone is a learning process and there are tons of ways to learn how to apply it to our skin without the use of a person. Youtube, hello! But let’s be real, summer is here and you’re probably trying to keep up with the latest trends of all things makeup and fashion, and if you are, I have here I have some of the hottest Eyeshadow Trends that will keep you looking better than ever.
First off, let’s start off with the perfect shades of eyeshadow colors for your eyes.
Blue Eyes
If you have blue eyes, then you want the color wheel that is opposite of this color. Peaches, apricots and bronzes go absolutely perfect. If you want to add some warmth, try any shade of pink like coral and if you really want to make your eyes pop, choose the matching color of your eyes like blue, turquoise or a light silver.
Check out this ColourPop, Coast to Coral Eyeshadow Palette from Ulta. There are many beachy shades such as The Keys (red coral w/gold flip), Queensland (burnt mid-tone orange) and Drop Off (warm chestnut brown w/ gold pinpoints). Price: $14.00.
You might also want to check out Pat McGRATH LABS, Mothership I Eyeshadow Palette – Subliminal. In this palette, there are blendable shades of blues, violets, golds and neutrals which would go perfect for any eye that is a shade of blue. It is on the pricier side of $128.00.
Brown Eyes
If you have brown eyes, then shades of cobalt blue, teal and turquoise will make those beautiful eyes pop. You can also use golden tones such as yellow or bronze which will highlight them if that is what you prefer. If you want to stand out and make a statement, then lighter shades of green and purple will do the trick just fine.
Check out Sephora’s Anastasia’s Beverly Hills Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 5 for Face and Body. This palette has diverse shades that are perfect for any taste. What I love about this item is that it’s vegan, is without parabens or sulfates SLS and SLES and when you apply it, it has a matte and shimmer finish. What more could you want? Price: $60.00.
Green Eyes
Do you have green eyes? If so, then red is a contrasting color that will make those pretty eyes pop. From corals, maroon, pinkish-reds, any of these colors will do the trick and since bright colors are one of the hottest fashion and makeup trends, then go for any shade of yellow or bright pinks.
Check out Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette from Nordstrom. It contains 14 shades in matte and metallic finishes, all reds and pinks that will make your green eyes shine.
Trend #1 – Graphic Eyes
Graphic eyes are one of the biggest Eyeshadow Trends of the summer. Even if you’re not great at makeup (like me) it’s well worth a shot to try it out. A shape around your eyes can tell people you’re here and ready to take on the world. You can use pencil liners to help you get the shape you want, then fill it in with eyeshadow to get the full effect.
Trend #2 – Jewels

Check out these face jewels from Walmart. Price: $5.71.
Trend #3 – Metallic
As you probably know, the 90’s are back and so is metallic eyeshadow. This eyeshadow trend is shiny, last’s long and makes a statement on any outfit you wear. Check out the best metallic eyeshadows below!

Trend #4 – Bottom Eyeliner
Not only can wearing eyeliner at the bottom of your eyes brighten them, but if you’re planning on wearing a smokey eye, then you are bound to make a statement and all eyes are sure to be on you.
