The Best Winter Hair Styles To Try This Season
We all have our own go-to hair styles that we repeatedly re-create, but the same hairstyle gets boring after a while, doesn’t it? This winter why not experiment with different types of hair styles? From sophisticated up-dos and chopstick curls – here are the best winter hair styles.
1. Low Pony
A chic way to create an effortless, classic and edgy look. A perfect hair style to wear with high neck sweaters or over sized jumpers. It creates a relaxed and casual look, while being ideal for everyday events. Easy and quick for those mad mornings.
2. Soft Lose Curls
Go for a soft, wavy and low-key style. Simplicity is key. You don’t need masses of volume to create a glamorous look, a gentle curl is an easy going look which is perfect for a casual trip out – the cinema, a meal or even a few drinks. If you want a more jazzed up look, add curls where you please, start soft and minimal and build up to create your desired look. Try a 32mm tong for a barely there, lose blow-dry curl.
3. Plaits
Try a new take on the classical plaits. Now I know some of you might normally leave plaits in the summer, for that relaxed beach hair look. But, plaits can be the ultimate party hair. Try a lose, thick french plait, start at the top left side and work your way round. Once plaited, gently pull at the plait to loosen, this will create texture and volume. Finish the look by twisting it into a bun and tucking it in, then grip in place. This is an easy style which is comfortable and will not let you down – it will always make your outfit pop.
4. Messy Bun
For the more casual and stress-free days, try a messy bun. Whether you’re staying at home or running errands, this is the perfect hair style to try. Low key and simple, yet trendy and cool. Although, messy buns are popular for more than just relaxing and running errands. If you want to turn it into a going out look, simply add curls to tidy it up and create volume for definition.
5. Half Up, Half Down
This look is the ultimate go-to look for any occasion. For a simple, casual and understated look, take the lower part of your hair and leave it natural. Continue by taking a medium sized section from the top layer of your hair and create a small messy bun on the top of your head. Build lose waves for a fancier style, a faultless look for any activity. This is one of the best winter hair styles.
6. Chopstick Curls
If you’re lucky enough to already have volumised, chopstick style hair – then I envy you. For the people who have straight, flat hair – don’t worry, I gotcha’. Start by layering your hair into pieces, this will allow you to add as many curls as possible which will make your hair feel and look thicker. Then, when your full head of hair is curled, slightly brush them all out and back comb the top of your head for volume. For extra volume and texture, lightly backcomb the strands of your hair, this will create a fluffy effect which will make your hair style look natural and untouched.
7. Straight and Slick
Opt for simple but effective. Straight is the obvious go-to hair style for us girls. Its easy and can be relevantly quick when we want it to be. Straight hair is the perfect way to add sophistication to your look, and is un-doubtfully a classic and timeless style. To add a tasteful extra, slick it down with hairspray, this will also give your hair a high shine result. This is one of our favorite winter hair styles.
