Women with strong thighs know that it can be difficult to find items of clothing that really show off the beauty of their curves. Trousers can be filled with obstacles, shorts season can cause headaches and fashion trends often ignore the curves that we are given. These are some of the best ways to show off thick, strong thighs while complimenting your curves and accentuating their natural beauty.
Thick thighs used to be something that we tried to minimize and hide. Many of us wanted every body part to be as small as possible. Today health and wellness take a front seat and the size of one’s body is not necessarily related to how healthy one is. With evolving beauty standards, an increase in health and wellness, and the acceptance of all kinds of body types, strong, thick thighs are making a come back with the fashions that go along.
Monochromatic jumpsuits are a fun way to show off your thighs while accenting other parts of the body. Find a jumpsuit that teases a little at the top or one that highlights the midsection with a tie or belt. Jumpsuits will hit your thighs just right while adding volume to the bottom of the leg. Adding volume to the ankle will create a fun, flowing look helping to highlight your favorite curves and make your thighs look great!
A-line skirts and dresses will help show off your curves and thick thighs. An A-line outfit helps to cinch in the waistline and create volume on the bottom for a more hourglass shape. This will help to accentuate your thighs and allow you to show off their strength.
A bike short is the perfect garment to accentuate and really show off your thighs. The bike short sits higher up on your waist and hit the middle to bottom of the thigh. A bike short will help you to show off your thick thighs, and when paired with an oversized tee can really make a bold statement. Bike shorts are sporty chic and are made for every body type.
Pants that have a higher waist are generally tighter throughout the waist, hips, and thighs. This helps to accentuate your curves while sinching in your waist and highlighting your legs. High waisted pants also add more support and accentuate your curves. Pair with a tucked-in blouse for a chic, clean look. Your legs will stand out in any crowd.
Accentuate your thighs in the 1970s inspired flared pants. This style of pant is often tighter through the thigh as well as at the hips, flaring out as you get to the bottom of the ankle. This style of pants will highlight your strong thighs while adding length throughout the leg. It also helps to balance out the style of the leg as it creates flow at the bottom of the outfit while sinching in the middle.
The pencil skirt is a simple silhouette making it diverse and easy to wear. This design sinches in the waist and accentuates the curves. It helps to highlight your thighs, allowing you to show off their strength and form. The pencil skirt should be a staple when it comes to every wardrobe and is extremely flattering on curvy ladies.
Verticle stripes help to add length to the thighs and create interest within any outfit. Try finding a pair of verticle striped pants, helping to add length to the legs and accent the strength of your thighs. Verticle stripes will also help to balance out your lower half, drawing the eye continuously up and down versus side to side.
A wide-legged trouser flows over the lower half of the body, helping to highlight your natural curves with soft flowing fabric with a lighter weight feel. A wide-leg will help to balance out the look and create symmetry throughout the leg. This look is effortlessly playful and chic. Opt for a sinched in the waist and make sure the hem falls right at the thinnest part of your leg. This will help to highlight your thighs and create a beautiful and seamless fit highlighting your strongest assets.
A beautiful high heel paired with a slim fit or skinny jeans can really make a bold statement and highlight your favorite asset. Your thighs will look great, your bum will be nice and lifted and the heels will add beautiful length to your strong, bold legs. Try a dark wash pant with a bold, bright heel or a lighter washed pant with a nude or black heel.
The way a garment drapes across our bodies can either highlight our features or can be very unflattering. Wearing flowing materials over thick thighs can help balance out a tighter top and allow for the leg to be lengthened.
If you happen to be on the shorter end of the spectrum and have killer thighs it can be difficult to find patterns that balance your shape. A floral patterned suit will help to accentuate your curves while adding intrigue to the bottom of the leg and the top of the outfit. This will help to lengthen the body, drawing the eyes around the pattern of the outfit. This will help to accentuate your best features while accomodating for your height.
