The Best Waterproof Phones Of 2019

With summer just around the corner, phones are preparing for their annual tradition of dropping into the pool, hurting us all one at a time. Both making us upset and hurting our wallets. Even in the other seasons, phones have been falling in the toilet from back pockets since the beginning of time. Lucky for us, phones are beginning to evolve. With each new phone that is put out, there are extra features, and recently, these features include being waterproof. Waterproof phones are a great way to keep from stressing about them falling in the pool, or toilet, or anywhere else. It will help keep your phone safe! Here is a list of the best waterproof phones of 2019!

1. Google Pixel 3 XL

The Google Pixel 3 XL is the most advanced of all the Google Pixel phones, the most outstanding feature is that it is waterproof. This phone can be submerged in water for up to one and a half meters for a maximum of thirty minutes. While the other Google Pixels had water resistant features, this is slightly more water resistant than them, making it superior. It is able to be water resistant based on its higher rating of IP68. Though the Google Pixel itself doesn’t claim to be able to submerge one and a half meters for thirty mins, it has been reported based on reviews.

2. iPhone XS

The iPhone XS is also able to resist water for thirty minutes but for only one meter or less of water. The iPhone XS has the same rating as the Google Pixel XL of IP68. This does not mean that you can leave your phone in the water, it is recommended that you do not leave it in the water for longer than necessary, but you can definitely use it to take some super cute pictures of you and your friends underwater, and you won’t have to worry about your phone dying if it falls out of your pocket and into the toilet.

3. Samsung Galaxy S9

The next of our waterproof phones is the Samsung Galaxy S9. With the Samsung Galaxy S9, you won’t have to worry about getting pushed into the pool! Much like the two phones we spoke about before, it contains a water and dust resistant rating of IP68. It can stand to be submerged in water of one and a half meters in depth for thirty minutes. However, this water does need to be freshwater. The effects will differ for salt water.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9, much like its brother the Samsung Galaxy S9, and the other phones in this article has a water and dust resistance rating of IP68, meaning, much like the other phones in this article, it can withstand being submerged in water up to one and a half meters deep for thirty minutes.
