The Best The Office Episodes Of All Time

Although The Office went off the air in 2013, the legacy that the NBC sitcom left behind makes it one of the most popular TV Shows of all time. Even as the years pass by, The Office will be one of those TV Shows that everyone references, talks about, and/or binge watches from time to time.

All 201 episodes of The Office (which aired over the course of nine seasons on NBC) are funny in their own right. For this article, it was nearly impossible to select what I thought were the 10 Greatest Episodes of The Office.

Now, with all of that being said, take a look down below and check out 10 of The Best The Office Episodes of All Time:

10. Casual Friday (Season 5, Episode 26):

Did your school or workplace ever have Casual Fridays? In this Season 5 episode of The Office, Casual Friday causes all hell to break loose after the Dunder Mifflin staff began taking too many liberties with their Casual Friday dress. “Casual Friday” is also The Office episode that featured one of the show’s famous and hilarious moments: In the cold open, Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) spills his famous chili all over the floor of the office and desperately tries scooping the spilled chili into a pot with a binder.

9. The Pilot (Season 1, Episode 1):

The pilot episode for any Television Series is important for two reasons: One, it determines whether Television Networks decide to pick the series up to air; and two, when it actually airs, the ratings and reviews determine whether or not the show will be a huge hit or not. Those reasons I just mentioned are why I include the pilot episode of The Office in the show’s 10 greatest episodes of all time.

The Pilot episode of The Office sets the bar high for all the hilarious moments for viewers to expect during the show’s nine-season run. The episode introduces us to Michael Scott (Steve Carell), the regional manager at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin and depicts new worker Ryan Howard’s (B.J. Novak) first day in the office. The Pilot episode also introduces us the start of the legendary prank war (which lasts throughout The Office’s entire run) between co-workers Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) and Jim Halpert (John Krasinski).

8. Money (Season 4, Episodes 7 & 8):

Two-part episodes provide amazing storylines. The highlight of this two-part episode is the infamous Whoever vs. Whomever debate, which another one of The Office’s top conference moments. Kelly (Mindy Kaling) uttering “Ryan used me as an object” never gets old.

7. The Negotiation (Season 3, Episode 19):

The two highlights for me in “The Negotiation” are at the beginning and end of the episode. At the beginning, we see Dwight saving nemesis Jim from attacked by a raging Roy (David Denman), by pepper-spraying him.

The end of the episode sees Andy’s return from anger management. Literally after stepping foot in the office, Andy gets attacked by Dwight with pepper spray. The incident results in Toby confiscating all of Dwight’s weapons, which are hidden in various places in the office.

6. The Convict (Season 3, Episode 9):

In “The Convict”, Michael discovers that Martin (Wayne Wilderson), a new employee in Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton Office from the company’s Stamford merger, is former convict (Martin served time behind bars for insider trading), Upon learning this information, Michael gathers all of the Scranton Branch Employees into the conference room and gives them a presentation on the miseries of prisons in his famous later ego: Prison Mike.

The video below depicts the entire scene. Michael’s Prison Mike lecture (which he did wearing a purple bandana) is one of The Office’s top three conference room moments. There are so many hilarious lines from this presentation, but the one that causes me to lose my sh** every single time is when Michael declares that “The worst part about prison was the dementors.”  I give a major kudos to all of the cast for being able to keep a straight face during the Prison Mike presentation.

5. Niagara (Season 6, Episodes 4 & 5):

This two-part episode depicts The Office traveling to Niagara Falls for Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim’s wedding. Not all  goes smoothly leading up to the ceremony as Jim accidentally reveals Pam’s pregnancy to her conservative grandmother, Andy tears his scrotum during a dance-off (which took place in his hotel room the night before the wedding), and both Michael and Dwight attempt to hook up with women at a bar, receiving mixed results. Despite all the chaos, The Office fans get what they wish for as everyone’s favorite couple, Pam and Jim, finally wed.

4. The Dinner Party (Season 4, Episode 13):

This The Office episode is one of those television episodes that fans either love or hate and is an absolute nightmare for every human being who prefers not to associate with their co-workers outside of the workplace.

In “The Dinner Party”, we literally watch the abusive relationship between Michael and Jan (Melora Hardin) come to its demise at a dinner party that the couple host at their condo with Jim and Pam, Angela (Angela Kinsey) and Andy (Ed Helms), and an uninvited Dwight in attendance.

3. Stress Relief (Season 5, Episodes 14 & 15):

The third two-part episode from The Office to be featured in this article is Stress Relief and trust me, this two-part episode didn’t disappoint. Unsatisfied that his coworkers’ fire readiness knowledge, decides to put them through a safety test by sealing the office exits shut, cutting the phone lines and starting a fire in a trash can. The video below depicts all of the chaos and mayhem caused from Dwight’s simulation.

The second part of the episode is just as crazy as the first as Dwight gets into more trouble for the damage he cause and for the trouble he caused when The Office was learning proper CPR techniques.

2. Diversity Day (Season 1 Episode 2):

The second episode of The Office is one the series’ best and follows through with the top notch comedy factor that the pilot episode brought. “Diversity Day” follows Michael’s desperate attempts to justify his use of wildly inappropriate humor and encourage the use of stereotypes to get people in the Scranton Branch talking about diversity in the office. Michael’s controversial imitation of a Chris Rock’s routine (a stand-up comedy routine so controversial that it has its own Wikipedia page!) results in the entire staff to undergo a racial diversity seminar.

1. The Dundies (Season 2, Episode 2):

I couldn’t do an article on The Office’s Greatest Episodes of All Time without including “The Dundies”! The Season 2 premiere depicts the annual awards ceremony for the employees of Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch and ceremony in this episode (note, The Dundies Awards are also the focus of the Season 7, Episode 21 of The Office “Michael’s Last Dundies”) is held at Chili’s.

In this episode, Pam literally stole the show. After getting to a fight with her fiancee Roy, Pam gets wasted and after winning the “Whitest Sneakers” Award, drunkenly kisses gives Jim. Pam got so drunk at The Dundies to the point she fell off a stool, causing Chili’s to ban her from all their restaurants.
