So the weather is finally beginning to cool down, and you no longer have to worry about third-degree burns every time you hop in your car and touch the steering wheel. That always sucks.
Another thing you won’t have to worry about with this upcoming transitioning of weather is having your Instagram feed flooded with swimsuits pictures and pool days. Your new challenge is to take Instagram by storm and find the best spots to take photos in the fall season. Autumn definitely has a vibe, and it’s time to capture it. Think about aesthetics. The angles. It all comes into play.

Maine
Bar Harbor, Maine, if we are going to be specific about things here. Beautiful lakes. Tall, ever-growing, flourishing trees. Home to a wide variety of wildlife. The fluorescent autumn colors here will definitely have you appreciating nature for all of its beauty.
Visiting here will provide you the option to stay in a number of historic hotels. And while you’re here, don’t forget to take a trip to Acadia National Park! Activities like kayaking and bird/whale watching are available at your leisure.
New York
When most people think of New York, the first and immediate thought that comes to mind is New York City. You think of taxi cabs, lights, corner stores and people moving at a mile a minute.
However, let’s flip the script and talk about Huntington, New York. Visit and take a walk in Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. Its 1,600 acres contain nearly 30 trails with sights you have to see. You might walk out of there with one of those pictures of nature that’s used as screensavers on old Windows computers!
The Eastern Shore of Maryland
We could practically just let the picture speak for itself. Fall vibes at its finest.
The words “vibrant autumn colors” would be an understatement. It’s honestly just something you have to see for yourself. The park here to visit would be Elk Neck State Park, and with being surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t allow a certain amount of time to sit down and feast on some seafood.
Colorado
Mountains and aspen trees… what else could you possibly ask for? The state of Colorado is widely-known for skiing, but aside from that, what the surely offer is great scenic views to complement their authentic fall colors and autumn feels.
While you’re here, you won’t want to leave without having the chance to take photos of Maroon Bells – a reflective lake of two huge mountaintops named Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak. Pictures do it no justice!
Vermont
If you choose to visit Vermont to take photos during the fall season, you definitely won’t be the only one. It’s their busiest tourist season around that time of the year, and for good reason, too.
I mean, just look at that picture of Elmore State Park. Who wouldn’t want to witness that in person? To get a little elevation and see the state’s autumn views from a higher viewpoint, be sure to visit the Green Mountains, too! You won’t be disappointed.
