The Best Pop Up Museums You Need To Visit

Pop-up museums are the latest trend that you need to know about. From New York to San Francisco; these pop-up museums are developing all over the United States. They are called Pop-up museums because they aren’t permanent establishments; if you are interested in going to one, you better grab your tickets. So, we’re here to tell you about the best pop-up museums and when and where you can expect to see them.

1. Museum of Ice Cream

A museum that is about ice cream? Well, count me in! The Museum of Ice Cream originated in Manhattan, New York in the summer of 2016. The Museum of Ice Cream is currently located in San Francisco. The decorations and the sprinkles might look tasty, but do not to eat the ice cream, because I hate to break it to you, but it’s not real. Guests will usually spend roughly 60 minutes in the museum, in order to gain the full ice cream experience. Adults 18 and over are only permitted in the museum between the hours of 7:30pm-9:30pm. 2. The Color Factory

You’ll be seeing in color after walking through this colorful museum. The first Color Factory was located in San Francisco and it was a major hit, so, much so that they had to extend there stay from three months to eight. The Color Factory opened a new location in New York City on October 2018. The purpose of this museum is to promote creativity and growth, so, this is the perfect place to take the little ones. 3. Candytopia

Beware, this museum might give you a cavity or two. Indulge yourself on a candy adventure with your friends and family, as you navigate this real-life candy land. The majority of the exhibits in this museum are actually made out of candy but don’t lick the art, because everyone before you has tried that (and they probably got sick). Candytopia first opened its doors in Los Angeles in 2018; the current locations of this establishment are in Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. 4. Museum of Selfies

At the Museum of Selfies, you will be treated just like a celebrity.  This pop-up museum originally opened in Glendale, California in 2018. Currently, the Museum of Selfies is located in Hollywood, California. The Museum of Selfies sounds rather fun, but it also educates on the dangers of taking risky selfies. Nearly 2 million selfies are posted a day, and it’s all fun and games till someone gets hurt. Adult admission is $25 and children (6-12) are just $20, you can buy your tickets now at the Museum of Selfies.

If you are feeling down, then this museum will definitely put a smile on your face. The Happy Place Museum first opened in Los Angles in 2017 but is currently located Boston, MA till June 30th.
