Back to school season means stress levels and responsibilities will skyrocket! College can be extremely stressful for anyone who’s trying to get their life together. Some Suffolk University students have cried during lectures to ease the pain of having to write a 16 page paper in 5 hours. Freshmen business students have cried after not doing to great after their big business presentation to help them pass a crucial class. Broadcast majors have cried in the media lab because Avid deleted all their footage! Suffolk students have definitely had a crying session in the library because papers are piling up and exams are popping up out of nowhere. Not only do you have to deal with school work, but Boston’s unpredictable weather can change your mood! I have a few spots to cry and release emotions for my fellow SU students. Here are the best places to cry at Suffolk University when you just can’t deal anymore!
The library is the hot spot for having an emotional breakdown or to cry your eyes out! Students usually cry in library during midterms and finals. You can catch a student trying to cry silently on the 4th floor. Yes, students have been kicked out of the fourth floor for crying because it’s the quiet floor in the library! I’ve cried in the library but only when I’m complaining about school with the library security guards! All Suffolk students should just talk to the library security guards, they will make you feel better! This is a place where SU students can cry when they can’t deal anymore!
This is dedicated for all the Suffolk Broadcast and Film majors who had to deal with editing videos! As a broadcast journalism major, I’ve cried while editing work. Imagine taking 5 hours to fix a 5 minute video for it to vanish once the computer freezes. Having to re-edit footage after spending hours and skipping classes to reach a deadline is every broadcast and film majors fear! Make sure to wipe your tears because no liquids are allowed in the media lab! This is a place where SU students can cry when they can’t deal anymore!
Crying is the student lounge is for the BOLD! Students have cried in lounges after finding out they’re missing credits or failed a major exam or paper. Being surrounded by friends is pro to crying in the student lounge. A major con to the student lounge is that you’ll be known as the person who cried in the student lounge. If you’re going to cry in a student lounge on SU campus, DO NOT go to Sawyer 3rd floor! They will never forget! The 3rd floor squad will roast you about it when you’re the candidate of a roasting session. This is a place where SU students can cry when they can’t deal anymore!
I’ve seen students tear up while taking exams or during a lecture. They’ve either got the lowest grade or at the verge of failing the course. Professors will gladly continue to lecture while tears come up you eyes. You have to be a crying professional to get away with crying in class. This will benefit people with glasses because other students won’t notice! Just make sure to not get tears on your midterm or final project. This is a place where SU students can cry when they can’t deal anymore!
