Listening to upbeat music is the best way to get the most out of your workout. I’ve found that dance songs are some of the best motivators that push me through a workout when I’m just not feeling it.

So, throw on some workout gear, open up your go-to music app, and play these upbeat and inspiring new dance songs that you’ll definitely jam out to while you exercise!

From start to finish, “In My Opinion” is an upbeat, progressive house song that is ideal for low-intensity, steady-state (LISS) cardio. This type of cardio includes brisk walking, bicycling, rowing/swimming, light jogging, and stair climbing.

This traditional house song has an infectious beat that will make your head bounce and push your feet forward. “Carry On” is another great dance beat to listen to during LISS activities as well as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) activities, such as a circuit involving squats, mountain climbers, planks, and lunges!

Duke Dumont is another EDM artist who’s been around for years, and many of his songs offer perfect beats and tempos for LISS activities of all kinds!
Simple yet upbeat and so easy to dance to, “Sweet Munchies” is a great dance song to listen to while doing exercises that involve sets of repetitions (reps), like squats, bicep curls, lunges, and crunches.
Many of Cat Dealers’ songs are structured very similarly to this one, so feel free to add some or all of their songs to your exercise jam playlist!

Armin van Buuren has been around since 1996, which has made him a major influence upon modern EDM of all genres. What’s more impressive is that he’s still producing some of the most popular and addictive mainstream dance songs being released today, and “Tarzan” is no exception!
This song is a great follow-up to “Clap Your Hands” that will keep those endorphins flowing and elevate your energy through the roof!
This motivational house beat inspired by Indian roots is great for HIIT circuits, weight training, and LISS activities. The official music video is an awesome tribute to the current social isolation requirements that the whole country is dealing with. It also serves as a reminder that you can get up, dance, and enjoy yourself even in the comfort of your own home!
Created by the Indonesian EDM group Weird Genius, this unique dance song incorporates trap and Javanese elements to form the ultimate hybrid beat to pump you up during all your weight training and HIIT exercises!
The female guest artist beautifully sings Javanese in the bridge, and the official music video for this song even inspired a Tik-Tok challenge that hundreds of users have contributed to!
