Mascara is an important part of a lot of people’s beauty routines and looks. I won’t say “most people’s” because hey, generalisations are lame, but it’s still important to acknowledge that most people who do their make-up at all have at least one mascara tube in their make-up bags.
I have three – and that’s after I threw out several older ones a week ago.
It’s important to have a good mascara: it can help you elevate your whole look to the next level just as easily as it can help you make everything look sad and unappealing – maybe, in fact, the latter is even easier. Here are some of the best mascaras on the market right now; from least to most expensive.
Perfect for lifting and adding volume to your lashes, Rimmel‘s Wonder’fully Real mascara is here to help you have a good time. Deeply pigmented, super lengthening and packaged in a bright, hot-pink, easy-grip tube, this mascara does its best to cater to your demands – while also staying incredibly budget.

With a fanning brush that separates your lashes and makes them look fuller, this mascara has been a lot of people’s favourite – despite being non-luxurious.
Impressively good for both volumising and lengthening – but specialising in the latter, Maybelline’s mascara impresses, without devastating your wallet.

It was been my go-to choice for a long while. Incredibly volumising, stays on and doesn’t smudge at all, its brush is pretty easy to use, is waterproof and the mascara is not greasy despite being heavy; those qualities define Pupa‘s Vamp!
While its primary goal is to volumise, it doesn’t really fall back on pigmentation and lengthening, either, making it a decent contender for your mascara choices.

Formula: lightweight, buildable. Makes eyelashes both more voluminous and longer.
Brush: curled, fine-toothed.
Packaging: pops. Severely.
NARS‘s Climax Mascara has been an absolute rave with the number of good reviews it has gotten, and the number of people who told me to try it – until I did and I have to admit, it’s impressively good.

At this point, it’s really rare for Urban Decay to NOT show up in one of these recommendation lists – at least it’s for a good reason and, in our opinion, well-deserved.
Very high-pigmented, long-wear and easy to apply with its unique brush that properly separates your eyelashes to prevent clumping, this beauty is currently on discount – costing an impressive $15, almost two times less than normal; make it there on time.

Has a thick formula that is evenly distributed along the lashes with the help of the fine toothed brush; is buildable so can be used for both a natural bonus or a dramatic voluminous look; has a chique yet simple packaging so typical of Charlotte Tilbury – so it does seem like quite a treat, right?
A mascara that makes your eyes pop, yet still looks somewhat subdued – this is the best description of the Full Fat Lashes Mascara.
You could also buy a mini first – without making the $29 (!!!) investment into the full-size tube – and see if it suits you, because for some people it does tend to smudge a little.

Of course, all of these go differently for different people – so do yourself a favour and buy a tester/a travel-size tube first. But the recommendations come from a place of personal experience, and believe me – we want you and your lashes to go off!
